Anybody had any problems with the adjustment or brightness of the headlights on the Road Runner Race 250? My switch has a short and has the lights flicker on and off as well they dim down and get bright. It also seems like the lowbeam is adjusted like the highbeam and the highbeam aims to the sky, but its hard to tell at this point due to the short in the switch. I have a new switch on the way from Evosales, but was hoping for somebody elses input in the mean time.

The headlight assemblies on my Bali 250 use the large 35W bulbs. As the scoot came, they were directed down to the road too close to the scoot. I was able to raise them and get a fair light pattern and penetration. No question, the lights would be better with slightly higher wattage bulbs but we run the risk of melting the plastics and overloading the electrical system. Stan thought he had a lead on 45W bulbs but it never materialized.

If the switch fixes your problem with flickering, aiming can be done but it may take some trial and error. My RR 250 TLX had an adjustment knob but it stripped on the shaft right away because the adjust system was very tight. I took the cowl off several times and adjusted the light with screw driver. The third time was the charm.

What Monty said is a good point. The adjustment mechanism is fragile, to say the least! Many others have experienced the same thing. I placed my hand on the headlight cluster and gave it a slight nudge up or down as I turned the knob. This seemed to help and the gear, or whatever, did not strip.

Thanks for all the help, I took the front cowl off this evening again and realized that what I thought was an assembly screw for the light is actually the up and down adjustment. Unfortunately it doesn't work, but when grabbing the the back of the bulbs I can move the lights up and down a bit. I think the screw is to long and is jamming on the inside preventing it from adjusting down enough, because when I pull the screw out (it is spring loaded) it adjust down ward more then I require. I will have to make up a spacer to put behind the washer of the adjustment screw which should get me adjusted correctly.

Atta boy. I love "aftermarket engineering".

Well the spacers didn't work, it wasn't the screw that was to long it was the spring. The spring was already fully compressed, so my adjustment attempts only broke the plastic adjuster and all fell apart.
Back to the seller or or some further "aftermarket engineering".
