Well I've finally completed the taillight/turn signal mods to my Morphous. I began by adding new bulb pigtails with dual element bulb connections, 1157 bulb type, that are the stock pigtails for the front turn signals on my scoot. I bought LED bulbs from www.superbrightleds.com and the load resistors from www.customdynamics.com/ and installed the resistors under the left side cover. I think it turned out really well and it is bright in the back now. What do you Dawgs think of these pics? As always, click to biggie-size.

Very nice work. I got some for the front from somebody else and found them to be not so bright. I think the outfit was called Frikinbrite or something like that. I went back to incandescent for the front. In the rear I got special light units that are amazing. They give the appearance of tail fins.

Warstein, tell me more about these tail fin taillights. Where did they come from? Any good photos of them installed?

I got them from Dragon Custom. I see he no longer lists them. You could contact him anyway. I first ordered the front ones but they didn't have the running lights so I swapped them for the rear ones. On the Yahoo Mophous group the guy from Japan as been posting pictures of accessories including these lights. He calls them dimple lights.

Those fins are pretty cool. I just received the chrome variator cover from Dragon Custom today so I am getting to know Jon already. I'll ask him about those taillights. Do they work as both tail light and turn signal or just turn signal?

Just turn signal. They plug into the stock light connector. The front ones had a single connector also. It was larger than the connector for the double contact bulb. The only bad thing about the tail fins is they rub when you open the trunk. Probably could be fixed by a little shimming. I'm just too lazy.

Looks good, Nate--nobody should have trouble seeing you now! Warstein, I really like those tailfins-just like the 50's. I have a couple 1959 Cadillac tail lights--maybe I could mount them on my top-box or something. Art
