where did you get the cushion? My butt starts getting numb at about the 2 hr point Ooops, This Air Hawk is without question the best and most comfortable seat cushion available. It is pricey at $190 but you can get it cheaper on ebay. The Cruiser size medium fits the XC250 perfectly. You can ride for hours with this thing and your ass will feel like it did when you first hopped on the scoot. www.shapefitting.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=CRUISERMEDIUMIt was reviewed along with 4 other seat cushions in this article and came out the winner: www.motorcyclecruiser.com/accessoriesandgear/motorcycle_seat_comfort_pads/I highly recommend it if you do any medium-to-long distance riding and suffer from a sore butt ;D

2700 miles and counting. I added an iridium plug and changed to full synthetic oil. What a differnece this combo made. It runs smoother and runs alot quieter as well.
Now that my scooter is broke in, I decided last night to make a top speed run. I go up on the highway and open her all the way up. The speedo topped out at 97!!!!!! with my fat self tucked down nice and low as well. i couldnt believe it. I need to hit 100 though.....LOl

The speedo topped out at 97!!!!!! with my fat self tucked down nice and low as well. i couldnt believe it. I need to hit 100 though.....LOl Ooops as much as I love my XC250 and Kymco in general there is no way you are doing close to a real 97mph on a stock XC250. Two possible things are happening here: 1.) Your speedo is WAY off. OR 2.) You misread the speedo and it was indicating 87 not 97mph. The XC250 speedo is at least 10% optimistic with some owners on the Yahoo forum reporting a 12-15% variance. One guy posted about a speedo mod he recently did that was very clever. I guess the speedo on the XC250 uses some type of optical sensor. If you look at the front wheel you will see a speed sensor disk (see photo below). This little disk has 50 spokes with a small space between each one. The speedo is connected to a light that is constantly on and when the wheel spins each spoke interrupts the light beam and that is how the speedo works. This guy figured if the the speedo was off by 10% and there are 50 spokes if he removed 5 spokes it would make the speedo accurate. If you take a look at the photo you can see the larger spaces between the spokes where he removed them. According to him the speedo is now only 1-2% off (GPS tested). It seems logical but I am not sure how it affects the odometer. In any case it was a pretty smart idea that according to him seems to have worked.

I am also going to be installing a sound system on my scoot as well. Ooops, A sound system is a great idea. If I was not moving up in the spring that is something I would do as well. Take some pics when you do that. Getting back to the speedo mod I was just checking out the Yahoo board and the guy that did this claims the odometer was also off along with the speedo and now both the speedo and odometer are accurate, although there seems to be some debate on the accuracy of the odometer now. I would just leave it alone. I figure my speedo is 10% optimistic and I am fine with that. Have a nice ride to Daytona you lucky SOB ;D

I was thinking about a car cd player and a couple 4 inch speakers. I just dont know if the stator can handle it. I need to do some research.

Automattic Ooops scoot got killed by by a car that pulled out in front of him... he's deciding what to get next. But both his and Daves Kymco's are awesome... you cannot go wrong with a Kymco.
