That is a good price. Have you seen them in person? They are a bit weird looking. Very low to the ground and long. They are cool though.

I looked at them when I was scooter shopping recently. They are, er.... well, definitely unique. I've heard they have a great ride because of the long wheelbase. The salesman said they sell quite a few of them, definitely an attention getter!

I saw 2 of them today. silver and black. they are low and long but definitely different. The rear end brake and turns are great. Only draw back on the 07 stock unit is the sport windscreen. They don't have a touring screen for them yet.

They are really nice looking, kinda like an updated Honda Helix, but for what they cost, I could buy 3 of my Wussi 250.

I don't think there is a quality comparison here. warranty is 3 years also. extended warranty available as well.

I looked at em in the local Yamaha shop and thought they looked sorta like a 'recumbent scooter'.

I have one that I have had since May. It is very smooth as the engine has a gear driven counterbalancer. The rev limiter kicks in at 9000 rpm or about 82 mph. I also have a 2003 Burgman 400. I had a Helix for 18 years. I thought it was ugly when I got it but it was a very good ride. I bought the Morphous as a more modern Helix. It is not a Helix. In some ways it is much better but not quite there in others.

Before I put fingerprints on one, I thought they looked too weird. Then I got to sit on one and have a good look at it, and I've decided I really like the Morphous.
I want one. I think those scoots are just crying for some pinstriping on its nose or tail. Its interesting to hear that they will run 82 mph, that's plenty fast enough for me.

Pix make these look like 2-wheeled snowmobiles, but if you actually see one, they're different-looking, but OK.

You know, if that Morphous just had the 400cc Majesty engine in it- I'd already have one. No kidding. I like the look- a lot. But I'm not sure about plunking down that much money for a 250.

It is a pretty strong 250. It has double overhead cams with 4 valves. Compaired to the Helix or others using the Helix type engine it is stonger and faster. The only difference from the Majesty engine seems to be the bore. I have a 400 Burgman and that is quite a bit stronger as you would expect from an engine that is 50% larger.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. It stands out from the crowd. It is not a clone of a clone. Some people think it is the most beautiful scooter on the market. Especially the guys over at the Big Ruckus site.

Twister,
Opinions are like assh%$@#. Everybody has one. The point is what you consider to be ugly may be very aesthetically pleasing to someone else so don't go bashing the Morphus. If you don't like it fine but there is no need to make comments such as the ones in your previous post emphasizing them even more with emoticons and capital letters. The truth is I am not crazy about the styling of the Morphus myself and would not buy one but there is no need for all of the negative comments. I went riding with a few buddies over the weekend and we drove by a dealer and stopped in. They had a Morphus on the showroom floor. One of my friends loved it and one of them hated it. I am sure there are a lot of other people who like it as well regardless of how ugly you think it is.
Also don't make idiotic statements like you cannot trade a Morphus in just because one rude sales guy at your dealer refused one. In fact any Yamaha dealer will take it on a trade and probably most non-Yamaha dealers will as well. It seems your dealer is more interested in insulting customers than they are about making sales. The Morphus is a top-quality scooter with an amazing fit n' finish. If you don't like it that's fine but there is no need to bash it.

Good one Dave.
I like the look of the Morphos, but like I told you when we were looking at that one last monday, I think that it's so low, that it becomes a safety issue. It's bad enough that people in SUV's can't see me on my Reflex, but the Morphos is knee high to a ten year old.

I haven't had any problems with not being seen. I was a little tentative to get on the expressway with it. Maybe the unusual look helps in the standing out department. What it lacks in height it makes up in length and width.

That's my opinion, I'm entitled to it and I'm sticking to it.

As I said opinions are like ass h@les so yes you are entitled to your opinion. As a matter of fact I personally think the Morphus is ugly as well. My point is that you do not have to overemphasize your dislike for the scooter and keep going on about it. You don't like it fine. Say it is ugly and be done with it.
