I tried the fix-a-flat on a motorcycle about 20 years ago... it worked great! got home, and forgot about it. At the time, I was young and bulletproof, so I didn't think much of doing 100 or better on my bike. I don't think you could call it a blowout, but rather a very rapid loss of pressure. Luckily, I kept the bike up. long enough to get it stopped. (rear tire) My advice, don't use the stuff in anything unless you have three other wheels on the ground that don't have it in it!!

Actually "ride on" is designed to be permanant. Good thing, it's not cheap. Bill H. Price seems reasonable -- 14.95/bottle, one bottle = one typical motorcycle tire. Maybe one bottle will suffice for two scooter tires?

I had one tire that leaked quickly and one tire that had a slow leak. Checked both tires and didn't see a nail. In these parts thorns and brambles are common. I used 2oz of slime in both tires and have not noticed any performance problems and the leak is sealed. I know some will disagree, but hey it works and my bike seldom goes over 60 mph. Not recommending, only stating the road I have chosen to take.

Hi All, I never used any of this stuff, but I used to ride with some folks that had used Ride-On and it worked as advertized. My opinion get the scoot home and replace the $30 tire. Even a simple ER visit costs a lot more than that. That being said a can of Ride-On is a good emergency fix.

Write to Slime and they will tell you not to use it on a motorcycle... Something about pooling and throwing off the balance of the tire. My mechanic (Tires Plus) don't recommend it for cars neither. However sometimes getting home is more desirable, than getting home safely. Especially on a worn out tire, the slime will do it's job, and cost next to nothing. Just balance the tire after slime. The lateral forces are only true if you're talking about 10-12 in tires on a scoot riding 80MPH or something.... A thin layer is recommended if you use it. Then add air, and drive around. Don't fill up the tire with the stuff! So, it may be as unsafe as driving around without airbag in a car. Before the nineties, most cars had no airbags and drove around safely (with some, but generally few fatalities).
