No issues or concerns here, just something I'm curious about: Does the auto-enricher enrich the mixture at idle only, or is it also adding fuel at WOT? And if so, is the enrichment significant?
I'm just asking b/c I have a switch installed to manage the timing of the enricher, and I'm curious what kind of performance impact it might have outside of the idle range.

An Enricher BY DEFAULT feeds extra fuel for cold starts. That means the Cylinder and needle are RETRACTED when the ENRICHER is NOT GETTING VOLTAGE. So saying that if you have a cutoff switch to NOT ALLOW JUICE to get to the ENRICHER means it STAYS retracted and allows extra fuel to be sucked into the intake all the time IF you have the juice shut off.
Now usually what happens is that TOO MUCH fuel is fed and the motor looses power unless of course your motor is not stock then it also depends on what jets you have or not have. So it may still be feeding it to much fuel even with a hopped up motor. The Enricher feeds a lot of fuel so you can easly flood it at lower rpms.
You can verify that by letting it feed fuel after 5 minutes and you will notice the motor starts to run like sh!t and may even bog starting off. Lefty

The Enricher feeds a lot of fuel Thanks Lefty, that's what I needed to know. I was having a problem with the needle cutting off the extra fuel delivery way too early on the colder mornings, so the switch allows me to wait an extra minute or two before delivering current to the enricher and consequently cutting off the extra fuel delivery (not instantaneously of course). In the 2-3 weeks now that I've been using the switch, my idle problems have disappeared.

Yep, your handling it just fine, normally a motor will WANT less fuel after 3-5 minutes depending on the temps outside. You will find that in the HOT SUMMER months you will WANT the OPPOSITE to NOT feed fuel for cold starts. That is why I put on a MANUAL CHOKE on mine because in the summer starting it cold I could smell gas with the enricher feeding it fuel it was to much. Now if you smell gas that means some of the gas is getting into your crankcase and dilluting your oil so that is also not good. Lefty
