Engine burns too much oil?

Hello everybody, today I changed oil as I do every 1000-1500 km, but for the first time I actually measured how much comes out and it was only 500ml. Is this normal?

50oml??? wow thats a lot and definitely not normal, 500ml is about the same as 1 bag of blood,something is not normal here. do you notice some oil leaks underneath the crank case? what is your engine compression ? might be worn out and need replacement. have it checked! or you can use thicker oil.

That is the correct amount pretty much. I bet your dipstick reads just fine...

It's like between 50% and 75% of a quart of oil! (considering that 50-150cc usually have ~ 1 quart of oil in their engine
Must be leaking somewhere.

As already said that would be about 1/2 of what it holds. Besides checking for leaks and looking at your spark plug for signs of burning oil, check to see if your air filter box is full of oil.

I don't think that's 1/2 my 150 took less than a liter I cant imagine a 50cc is sloshing around in 1l of oil.

Is the crank case on a 50 the same size as a 150?? I guess I stand corrected however.... I have never needed to know this, don't own a 50cc, but I find capacities from 550 to 900ml out there. Read your dipstick if it says its full I would assume it is...

my 50cc is 3/4 a quart (~ 0.7 liter)
My 150 is 1 quart 0.90 liter

it's a 50cc, i usually put 800ml in. no oil leaks, head vent also doesn't drip oil, just a drop occassionally. i remove old oil with a hot engine, always tilt the bike on the central stand to the left, right, etc., but still just 500ml. the oil vooume that goes out is visually about the same each time. do i need new rings?

Maybe how quickly does it go down to that amount i.e. how frequent are your changes? Where does it read on the stick when you change the oil?
