An oversize variator without a matching drive face won't yield any gains

An oversize variator without a matching drive face, a longer belt to accommodate the increased diameter and matching softer torque spring in the clutch assembly will fail to yield meaningful gains.

I use a koso variator on both my scoots its slightly bigger, but I bought it because I had heavier sliders that had bought that didn't work well so I bought the variators for 25 bucks since they are lighter and the same price of a set of sliders.

I sell them, the stock outer plate is still larger than the over sized variator. To answer your question the larger diameter front pulley will change the ratio from stock. The variators I sell come with rollers you pick the weight.
