Dang did you replace the fuel & vacuum lines? They come with unbelievably weak rubber. Could be that, fuel petcock issue maybe, or the carb. Any case, not good. Couldn't see why/how fuel would track it's way back up the intake with the vacuum pressure of a running engine.

all was good till gas started coming out the air cleaner when it is running. what would make it do that? The float in the carb is stuck open. need to pull the carb off and see if something is keeping the needle valve from closing.

Gotta love milking those Tao Tao dollars. POST midnight edit: Spandi how'd you defy the laws of physics, posting at 12:01 and junk So I guess while you can't make threads or post replies, you can still edit past posts. Hmmmm.......... Hahaha post-post edit: Sounds good 3/3/13 - I'll start a log. The possibilities are endless, I wonder who will actually notice. I've got 273 other posts to go tinker with now too lol! I'm on itstheride w/ a new alias, I'm going to try to see what's up with SD,net too tho. 3/4/13 5:30 EST - it's gonna be tough, I already am forgetting to check back here haha. I wonder who else has caught on. Insert trendy topics, sequester, HIV baby cure, snow this week, SpaceX, meteorite, undefeated Blackhawks, sinkhole, MJ lawsuit, etc.... 3/4/13 22:10 EST - Maybe they have, for all we know people are going ballistic changing all their past posts like I'm about to I'm still going through by hand and saving threads with important info I'll need again just in case something happens to them. It's been slow going, I wish there was a way to "Save All" 3/5 13:08 - There sure were some good times had here. It feels kinda like when my mom moved out of the house I grew up in. You can still ride by and take a peek from the street but it'll never be quite the same. 19:20 - You can't but that's okay, gotta move on sometimes. It is kinda sad but oh well, that's how life works sometimes I guess. I'll admit I haven't had the best attitude towards the new forum for some reason but it really should turn out to be everything and more living off of ScootDawg spirit!!!! 3/10 9:30 - Whoops, been out of town and neglected our little post-era SD run here. Hope you come back and see this eventually! I'm already finding myself warming up to the new forum as the weather warms up to prime riding here the new place seems to be getting a warm welcome from all the active ScootDawg members, thanks, medman

Then have yourself a nice burger... With Heinz ketchup! I got that. ;D (As this will probably be my last opportunity to do this here.) Thanks, Wutzthedeal! Glad you liked it! Post midnight your time stiv625, only nine o'clock on the west coast. (but I must have gotten in just under the wire as it was closed when I went back.) See you at the new place. Turning the lights off on my way out. Ya know Stiv, come to think of it, we could just keep rolling this out forever. P.S. Did you sign up at the new site? 3/3/13 4:47PM. Hey stiv we can make a 1950's style Si-fi movie entitled: "The Dawg That Would Not Die" ;D 3/4/13 8:21AM PST So? Just set a time to pop in and post. (Can't imagine nobody thought of this.) 3/5/2013 8:16am PST Stiv I've been doing the same thing. As a lot of the technical knowhow in here are from people no longer (for one reason or another) around. and that would be hard (if not impossible) to get, if erased or otherwise lost. P.S. What makes it all the more valuable is the fact that most of what got posted on here was socializing rather than technical stuff, which in my view is the real Gold. 3/5/2013 10:16am I know what you mean. What's the old saying? "You can never go home again?" The way it all turned out is pretty sad. 3/6/2013 9:27AM PST Stiv I'm sure the "attitude" part came from the train wreck way all this had to happen. Hopefully as things heal up it will get much better.
