I'm with jim on this one, start at $600 and work up to $700 if need be. Then if they say No... give them you'r phone number and walk away.
Had a friend that had a 2007 with over 5K neglected miles on it, beat up and looked like a scooter poster child for a salvage yard.
Ran good thou and still has a lot of the stock parts on it.

wanted to do a quick update. Want to think larrball, stiv625, and rapidjim for the help. Got the scooter for 500 dollars, so of course there are a few problems. Minor scratches (i intend to order some paint from eton) Kick stand seems to need some fixing or replacing (80 some dollars so any cheaper or tips appreciated) the speedometer isn't working (taking that to the mechanic) and the breaks seem to need some tlc (again mechanic cause i'm awful with fixing things). So again thanks everyone and any advice for a noobie is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations! I'm a new member and new to scooters myself. I bought my very 1st scooter last month, a 2007 E-Ton Beamer III for $700 bucks. It has over 4500 miles on it, but i think the odometer was messed with. It's a pretty good for what i paid for it.
It registers 50mph but i'v yet to achive that. I'm good to get to 45mph on straight roads, but going up hill is another matter. I was wondering .. If i put a new exsust system on it, will that boot the speed up on it?
