Had my mind made up on getting a Linhai 300, so i went to my local dealer and there sat a SYM Evo 200! i know its a full 100cc or so less than the Linhai that i had originally wanted to purchase but man is that thing sharp, so before i purchased, the store owner said, go home and do some research and see what people think about the brand, so here i am......i am in love with the scoot, and just want some feedback from anyone who has had experience with SYM scoots, Thanx!

Wow, very nice Hank. (beautifully made is it not?) but I'm confused is it the RV or HD model?
P.S. perhaps EXUDES quality might be a better choice of words? ;D

The HD Evo is the one that i will be purchasing. went back to the shop tonight and they had a customer who had the same model and let me take her for a cruise! man was i impressed! After all of my research and questions i have found the scooter for me! the size is nice, this is not a "clone" of anything and the quality from every scooter i have seen is stand alone! Tomorrow they have 3 more scoots coming in, now i have to decide between the red, flat black or midnight blue! The price point at 3299 out the door is really good in my opinion for the quality im getting! THIS GUY IS EXCITED!

Hi Outstanding Congratulations, any of the color choices sound wonderful to me ;D Spandi, I like the HD as she is more sporty looking, the RV is more cruiser like in design I would take either one though im not that picky ;D Take care and ride safely dear friends Yours Hank

Yeah Hank, but I like the cruiser look (a little more Darth Vaderish) Maybe it'll scare off the cagers? ;D

another nice burgman clone! Go for it! If I'm correct SYM is Korean? Hi Taiwanese And how did you come to that assumption? With that I don't mean an exact clone, or engine clone, but a design clone of the Burgman/Aeolus, and stuff... Most of the bigger scoots all have the same type of design, the sports model front look, with 2 headlights, upright seating position, and large rear. Like I haven't yet found many larger scooters with eg: a cruiser style (more chrome and silverware), or something....

tat2donkey: You're making the right decision my friend. The SYM HD200 is an outstanding scooter. I own the Kymco GTI300 & I must admit...I like the look of the HD200 & the Citicom 300 better then my Kymco. They aren't inexpensive....but they are worth the extra coin. Trust me when I say...You won't have any troubles with this scooter. This engine has been production for many years now & it's priced right. I think Kymco missed the mark when they priced out the GTI200 myself.
15.3HP, Water-Cooled, Dual Disc Brakes, 2-Year Warranty. It's a "real" scooter! I'm not sure what the Linhai HP is...but 15.3HP has enough for just about everyone's needs.
Good Luck with your new purchase!!!
Also...@ $3299.00 OTD is an excellent price!
