Is the chain tensioner mounted allready and are you sure you installed the chain guide properly and not upside down? Chain tensioner should be installed after the cam.
Also check that the new head isn't a bit taller than original...

The chain guide on the right side in this picture is attached with a bolt and I don't think you moved that one. But the one on the left side is loose and can be turned upside down. And if I remember it correctly it would thighten the chain if it's turned the wrong way. After looking at your first picture again, I think that the gap is OK... I believe I had the same gap on mine last time I took it apart. And my engine runs fine. Check that the cam is properly seated, try to push the cam a bit back and forth. It might drop down a little bit...

Alright I will try that it sounds like the problem cause I had it pretty much together and the cam fit and I had to take it apart to and when I put it back together it wouldnt fit. Thanks man I really appreciate your help been trying to figure it out will let you know whats up when i try it. Check that the cam is properly seated, try to push the cam a bit back and forth. Here is a pic of my scooter before I took it apart I stretched it 6 inches lowered the seat a inch and a half and put I gas tank cover on it and now I am putting a 50mm bbk , 23mm carb, new rollers and variator dont have money for the clutch yet. With the clutch would it be ok to just get all new springs (the yellow ones)? Attachments:

So if I understand everything correctly. You are using stock cylinder head and the cam for the bb kit? If that is so, the cam could be slightly different and only fit the bb kit head.
Test if the cam fits properly in the head without the chain on, and also mount your rocker arms (just hand tighten the bolts) to see if everything is OK.
If everything seems ok. I would messure the with of the sprocket on the cam to see if it's the same as the original cam sprocket.
And just to make sure the chain is properly set on the crank sprocket! Remove the spark plug and try to turn the engine around with the kicker or by turning the variator with your hand, that way you would notice if its not set properly on the crank sprocket.
Just remember to set the cam timing right after this!

In the first picture I can see open space where the bearing fits into the slot top and bottom. So look and see if the bearing is to far out or to far in on the cam shaft. Then take it off and you can give the bearing a little whack to align it with the slot. Lefty

Its not that either the stock one is doing the same thing. ok I put the stock head gasket back on and it fit fine is it possible that the new gasket needs to be torqued down to fit right with the rockers or could I use the stock head and stock gasket either one fits fine with the stock gasket but not with the new one Attachments:

So I can use the stock gasket with the new head and it will be fine I dont want to break it but if it will work I am all for it
