Hi there, I've been stalking these forums for several months looking for helpful tips. However now I found myself in a situation where I got no results for my search queries. I was riding to college the other day and all was going well, then all of a sudden my rpms drop drastically and after that the scooter would only run at really low speed (like 10-15 mph) and if I pull the throttle it will choke and die. Starts just fine. I went ahead and changed the spark plug as I read it was the most likely suspect. It was blown and also the ignition coil was broken. The electrode (not sure what else to call it) that connects the coil to the spark plug was broken and was sitting on the spark plug. I changed the coil with my old one too and still the same problem.
It's not the A/F screw since it was running just fine for months and then this happened. I'm out of ideas. One thing that I noticed is that I have fuel dripping down the petcock line. Is it a bad petcock?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

You might need to adjust the size of your main jet. sounds like the idle is doin good but when you goose it it chokes. Try either a size up or down on the main jet. what size are you using now>?

Ok so I decided to play it safe, got a brand new carb and petcock. No more fuel leaking, and it seems to rev just fine, however now it will just start run for a minute or so and the rpms would just slowly drop and it will die, unless I rev it to keep it running.
I'm guessing it's the a/f screw but, all guides say "wait till the engine gets hot yada, yada" well I can't get the engine hot and all because it keeps dying on me. Any suggestions? Also what direction to turn it?
