hi guys here i go again so after a complete head rebuild i managed to get my 150cc heritage up and running but! she still bogs at half throttle and up i think it might be the main jet im going to take it out clean it and re adjust float to go more rich
it changes over from pilot to main jet fine just starts bogging out and stopps accel when i give it more then half throttle i can only go 30mph
also my spedo is not responcive at all should i jsut get a new cable ot is there a way to fix it? i regreased it and added a dap of oil to the mount at the front wheel
when switching from the stock airbox to the uni filter where should i rerout the black looking cylinder thing that connected to it? im not sure what it is but it connects to the petcock and carb and intake through Ts and vaccum lines. do i even need it?
also my intake manifold has 3 outies 2 seriously just goes in a loop came stock like that it just connect to a weird cylinder thing then that sconnected to a filter that jsut hangs there. i ordered a new manifold and it just has 2 outies instead of 3 how should i set this up or can i just block the hole and call it good?
also theres a vaccum hose comming from the variator case that used to go to the stock air box what should i do with that is it safe to plug it up?
as u can see i have many many questions im sorry for typing out a book guys!

Not a pro, just learning, but I'll try to help....
As for the first part, I found adjusting the needle on the carbs diaphragm has helped on many of my problems. Try that.
Spedo... replace it.
The "black looking cylinder" sounds like the filter for the gas fumes. If you don't live in NY or CA, yank it. It's just for the clean air/smog thing.
I have three scooters... The vacuum lines from the manifold go the the fuel switch or pump, and to the carb.
The hose from the transmission, I just zip tied it to the frame and put a piece of wadded up screen in it to keep out bugs.
Hope this helps.
Like I said... I'm not an expert, but I have been working on mine for awhile.

While you're at it check your fuel filter.

some carbs have adjustable main needle jets. It adjust from inside the center of the top rubber diaphragm, raise it a notch to rich'n, lower it a notch to lean it.
Think you need to do plug chop first though. run it 1/2 throttle or the best you can get, shut the engine off mid run, coast over and take the plug out to look at the color of the burn at the problem rpm. White wants more fuel , brown is good , black wants it a little leaner
You may just need your floats re-adjusted.

Hello Noneshere...
Am I confused on what you are saying about the diaphragm needle?
The reason I even started playing with mine, was one of my scooters was running really rich and burning through fuel.
I found that moving the clip to the highest notch made the needle go farther into the carb, thus restricting the amount of fuel. With the clip at the bottom notch makes the needle higher allowing more fuel.
When I dropped the clip to the bottom notch, the scooter was just bogged down. Especially on acceleration. When I moved it to the top, it ran so much better. Slower, but better. I ended up putting it in the middle.
Am I correct in this thinking?

When you try ro tune a carb the needle clip should be set in the middle. Start your tuning with the jets first, and when you find the right jet you can fine tune the carb with the needle.
