I ordered a 150cc Chinese scooter from Powersportsmax. I live in California and was concerned about getting an internet scooter licensed - PSMx is located in California. The scooter arrived quickly - within a week - still in the box it was packed in in China. It had shifted a bit in transit but had no significant damage, IMO. It's a "no-name" scooter - Calif. DMV calls it a "Kaikai" - with a generic "sports" style and "Velocity" logo.
The delivery guy pulled it right up into my garage. It took me a couple of hours to assemble (following the very helpful posts stickied here on Scootdawg, I'd add) and the next day when the battery was charged up it started right up. Performance was as advertised top speed 60 MPH and average 80 MPG - even though I'm a big guy - 6'1", 225.
My only quibble was that it took a long time to get ownership documents. But they answered the phone every time I called, and I eventually got the plates and pink slip.
The scoot was inexpensive - $1120 delivered including tax and license - and after 500 miles - knock wood - I've got no real complaints. I wouldn't suggest buying off the 'net if you need hand holding, but if you're prepared for "some assembly required" Powersportsmax offers a good price on what seems to be pretty much the same product everyone else sells.

Good to hear you experience was good. Have read a BUNCH of bad reviews on them though
