i just bought a 72cc polini contesta kit. what is the proper break in on this kit i am using a stock exhaust,stock carb w/85mainjt. how many miles i will be done breaking in and what mph i am going to run.etc?-sym dd50 2t

Depends on break in method . Be real easy on the first 100 miles and after that go a lil harder in the midrange but avoid hitting top RPM or too long or a time at the same RPM . Going up and down through the RPM ranges grinds the rings smooth or breaks it in . After a few hundred miles you should be able to feel a diff as the piston is not as tight and will rev up easier

id agree with skuttadawg. plus the polini kit is designed for a unrestricted performance pipe. i ran a kit similar and it got hot quick with the stock pipe. until i changed pipes then i could really feel power

I used Maxima synthetic 2T blend at first then switched to Motul 710 full synthetic after it was well broken in
