Well we got a much needed white Christmas but that put a serious damper on my Christmas ride dreams and the commute for tomorrow. I decided last night as the snow was fizzling out that I would make sure I could ride today. So out came the shovel. I knew if i just cleared a scooter path the old lady would be quite disappointed so i cleared the whole drive. The 50 yards down to the pavement only got a scooter path. I threw salt on the shady bits so they would be melted in the morning tomorrow. I'm quite sure my neighbors think I'm crazy and I bet they're right. I guess i did ok cause after the snow clearing (and before the ride) I got this lovely New Mexican Traditional Christmas meal. There's mash potatoes and turkey underneath all that scrumptious chlie. Any way with a full belly i ran the scoot to down and back. This is the first time I've done a Christmas ride in a long time and it felt great. I was the only bike out today on the wonderfully clear and mostly dry roads in a beautiful winter wonderland. Thanks to all of you for the inspiration you provide and I wish you only the best in the New Year.

I lived in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho for 7 years before moving back here to Texas when I got laid off from Intel Corp. in 2007. One thing I do not miss is the green chillies. Never got a liking for them. And happy to hear it was an enjoyable ride. Hoping to get myself that Burgman in Feb/March....crosses fingers it is still there.

Glad you enjoyed the ride....will you be scootin' Jan 1st? For certain unless it snows intensely. I won't the night before for obvious reasons. I rode into work this morning it was quite nice very little traffic which is not the norm for sure. You? @sunnman if you never got used to green chile you never had my wife's... or perhaps it best you moved to TX

I loved the "cold" in New Mexico. Snowing outside and I could be wearing shorts and a tanktop. Makes me wish I was still there when I get my scoot.
