I was hoping that I could get a little information on this problem that I am having with this scooter. The scooter was bought by my uncle back in April and I think he rode it the first month then he parked it. The scooter only has 120 mile on it. He gave it to my oldest son an we got it Thanksgiving. I got it home and tried to start it and the thing will not run. It starts and it act as if wants to stalls then it does. It takes forever to get it to start then once started it runs ok then it starts to stall again. I was hope that I could get a little info on this.

I'd clean the carb, the carb jets get mucky from fuel sitting in and around them and cause running issues like you describe.

What would you use to clean it. I got it off tonight and it looked ok. I got some brake clean will this work?

brake cleaner is what I usually use for a quick clean and then if the carb is really bad I'll let it soak overnight in C.L.R What color is the fuel in fuel tank? Its been a while since last April so I can imagine the fuel is almost like varnish.

I am not sure what it looks like but it don't smell like it is starting to turn. I was thinking of draining the tank and put fresh in it anyway...

check the fuel lines also, and give the carb & jets a real good clean

I spent all weekend trying to get this right with no luck. I am thinking that it maybe a bad carb since that is the only thing else I can think of. The gas lines seems to be ok since I drain all the bad gas out of it. I got it running strong but it dies after a few mins. It still also dies when I tried to give it throttle.
