So my scooter (Reketa 250cc) has been stalling when coming to a stop & not ideling. I've read and people are saying it's the valves, but I don't now how to change that, or set them correctly..? Does anyone know of a picture by picture or tutorial. I saw the one on the top of the 250cc threads but that looks nothing like mine. Could someone please direct me to the right place, or explain on my thread! Please & thank you!!

Was going to set my valves today... While in the process I found my idle screw so I messed with it a little bit and WALLA! No more stalling stop the project ( was running low on time anyway ) and problem solved took a little cruise everything it on the up & up!
Also fixed my fuel gage as well!!! Undid the 4 bolts under my seat took the little metal rod with the black floaty thing on it and grabbed some needle noses best a slight curve in the metal rode and it works good as new.
Great lil day of maintenance on my Roketa! As I'm not mechanically inclined what so ever.
Next I'm thinking about burping my radiator? And changing the antifreeze. Read up a little in it, but still not sure what to do exactly. Do I have to burp it, or can I just top it off?

I think the burping is only necessary when filling it after a coolant change. Just fill it its better than running it low.

Just make sure you didn't have to set the idle so high to keep it running that the CVT (the transmission) is pulling very much while you are sitting at a stoplight and such. It will cause unessesary heat and CVT belt wear. Not to rain on your parade, But if the valves do need gapped (clearances adjusted) and you are getting around this by setting your idle higher it could eventually burn your exhaust valve. Again, That is only if your valves NEED adjusted. Unfortunate for you, most of these Linhia 250 scooters do from what I have heard. I know mine did ! I adjusted my valves (Mine had zero clearance ) and the stalling stopped

Well when I bought the scooter the guy told me the idle needed me be adjusted, but for the first couple days I wasn't seeing any problems... Couple days later it started stalling, so I was going to check the valves, I only turn the idle a half a turn... Maybe not even that much. I plan on still checking the valves sooner then later, but for now everything is running really smooth.

Sometimes the idle does just needs to be adjusted. When you get a new bike its a good idea to just check everything though...

As you found adjusting the idle is pretty quick and simple. Kind of makes you wonder why the person selling it didn't just do it before showing the scoot. As 4950 said, lets hope it doesn't need the valve adjustment. I know your not excited to try checking the valve adjustment but it's a lot easier to do a check and/or adjustment then a valve replacement later on. Lets face it if your going to keep this bike your eventually going to be working on it so why not learn how now?

We'll dumbass you are going against your naming with such wisdom and valid points. I agree if it was just an idling problem you would think he would have fixed it.

Idle will often need to be adjusted when the weather changes . ALL 4T scooters will at some time need the valved adjusted . My Echarm at 2,200 miles they got loose and would stall when coming to a stop by start right up . Most get too tight and do not open up enough and can stall when it gets warm or not be able to start up .
When warm it should idle on the CS without the wheel turning , but it may when its cold and the choke is on
