Scooter was upgraded to the 72cc kit, stock exhaust, upgraded main jet to 95 and added three 1-inch breathers in the stock airbox. Fires up easy, idles perfect, runs great until you hit 1/2 - 3/4, if you let off the gas it stalls out, if you keep on the throttle, it will push through and level out. It stalls only when on a main stretch of road at WOT or close to it...if and only if you let off the fuel...Thoughts? Plug is milky brown...Reduce jet? Drop needle? Any similar issues?

is this a 2t or 4t scooter but either way a 95 is to big for the air box with your holes even drilled in if it a four 4t try a 85 and 2t 90,

Agreed....main jet is too big...I have the same setup as you...a Jonway..but the engine is the CPI long case.. With a 1/2' hole drilled in my airbox I ran a #85 jet at first...bumped it up to #87.5 and it runs like a champ. GPS shows 50-51 mph. But keep in mind I also have 1.5k clutch and Contra springs as well as 5 gram Koso slider weights. None of which have an affect on how your engine bogs however. I ran the #87.5 long before I installed those parts...and the carb mix was right on the money. Best and cheapest place to get jets(cost +shipping is less than most charge for a jet only) Is Power Barn...they carry all jet sizes even the odd half sizes like the #87.5. Plus they are all American made OEM...not Chinese copies that are mis marked or not marked at all. Mike at power barn really know his carbs and will help you with questions you may have. Here is the link to the jets your carb uses.. www.power-barn.com/servlet/the-1344/Mikuni-VM11-fdsh-22-Large-Round/Detail
