My Girlfriend uses a scooter here for her local transportation. Always has so she relies on a scooter for everything.
March 8th 2012. Her scooter was stolen. To this day it has not been recovered.
This stolen scooter was a Verucci Spyder from Scootsusa.com. Honestly it was a solid running scooter after working some bugs out & I hope the people who stole it burn in hell.
but this post is about John Dikov and Linda Dikov at
Valley Scooters
Scootersus.com
March 9th I ordered a new scooter for her to use. Communication with John was quick and easy and the order was placed.
March 15th the scooter arrived. Now honestly it was not packed to well all the parts and screws were thrown loose in the seat bucket. It was missing parts upon arrival.
Here is a copy of the e-mail I sent to john about the arrival and missing parts.

March 16th
My girlfriend was riding her scooter to the store and the trunk that was included with her scooter decide it wanted to turn left when she went right.
The adapting plate used to attach the trunk to the scooter had literally Snapped in half and sent the trunk flying. Totally destroyed the trunk.
She was upset about the trunk. You have to take into account her last scooter was stolen like 1 week back by this point. So she was breaking down figuring nothing could go right.
So we email John photo's and details on what happens and his reply was
I was not shocked by this news nor was I upset the trunk was not replaced as I know he is 100% correct the trunks are little bells and whistles to include with the scooter purchase and they cheap plastic. I e-mailed and asked just to settle the girlfriends nerves.
March 19 or 20th don't remember but around that time
Skip ahead to the replacement parts arriving
the new parts come in a bubble envelope and the new filter screen got flattened somewhere along the route. I did not e-mail him back on this I just took the better of the two screens and use it. Honestly I was able to use the replacement by rounding it back out.
So that fixed that up & all is well.
Fast forward all the way to
October 8th 2012
The girlfriend calls me and tells me the scooter stopped dead in the middle of traffic. Turns over but wont start. So I drive out and check the usual. Electrical, Gas etc.. I find nothing wrong. It will not start at all so I pay 45.00 to have it towed home.
I got home and check compression and its good. I check the spark and get 2 faint sparks then its dead. No more spark. I stopped there for the night and went to bed.
Next morning I check for spark again and same results like 2 faint sparks and nothing the rest of the day.
I am already guessing a bad CDI or Stator so I tested the incoming from Stator and its good. Trigger incomming and kill switch is good but the output from the CDI to the ignition coil was barely registered. Leading me to think the CDI is shot.

So I e-mailed John with details of whats happening and the very next day I have the following reply.
Now after all this time to see a dealer actually help the customer and honor a warranty is a rare sight for us.
I just wanted to share all this with you guys. The full story of the entire deal.
John and Linda are running a honest business & I would highly recommend buying from them.

John,
Scooter arrived today
The following is going to be an issue....
the oil filter screen is tore up.. when I drained the oil from the factory out of it and pulled that screen out it was in the shape of a square.. like it had been smashed up inside the drain hole.. I rounded it out best I could to ensure it did at least seal and filter the oil but its not going to last because the side of the screen was actually torn - so its split a bit down the side its not going to really catch much out of the oil this way...
I need a new filter screen
Screws and parts were just sitting loose in the seat... I am missing the following
2 screws to tie down the battery lid
Black plastic cap to cover vin number on pipe
and of course the damaged filter screen.....
also note that there are 3 wires coming into the battery housing.. I was not familiar with that setup.. 2 black wires 1 red wire?
turns out its wired like so....
Black Wire 1 (followed to front of scooter -- keeps clock and im sure other things energized while sitting)
Red Wire (followed to components under seat)
are positive
Black Wire 2
Ground (followed to ground point on frame)
So basically I need battery lid screws (worse comes to worse I try to find some around the house...)
black plastic cap to cover the vin number in the pipe (need for sure)
and a new filter screen (need for sure)
I did manage to fire the engine up and so far it does seem to run smoothly. Will know more when we get time to go further with it.
let me know
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,
Sorry to hear about the mishap. Unfortunately the trunks on the China scoots are a $%& of @$%&. We do net even order any extra ones to sell to people because we don't feel they are worth the $50 we would have to sell them for to make a buck on them. We tell everybody to just go out and get a Givi or Shadd trunk. They cost about $100-150 but they are good.
