The problem with Alibaba is that most of the suppliers will never call you back unless you are willing to buy 10000 units. I've tried. Glad to know they now have the retail version up (Aliexpress) for single unit purchases.

It took them 23 days before they even shipped my scoot radio..then 20 days after that to get it. Currently waiting on 6 sets of slider weights and 2 performance variators...today is day 29...and still has not left their company...

Greg yup 100% true. we have actually bought from Alibaba before but we were required to buy between 100-500 of each item. about 2 years ago we bought some tablet computers from alibaba and we had to buy a min of 20. we ended up selling them to friends

You are lucky if you bought from dhgate / alibaba / ali express (they're really pretty much the same) that you did not get ripped off!
Read: It frequently takes well past 30 days to get your stuff AND if you do get it fast and there is a problem they will play you until 30 days past your credit card company can't reverse charges AND in many cases your credit card company will NOT reverse charge because it's from overseas or some such BS and all you can do is file a dispute and GUESS who wins that?! Spoiler: Not you.
Their representatives speak convenient English, meaning they communicate well so long the conversation is going their way but as soon as things start to turn you can bank on their English language skills going south along with the situation and guess who doesn't get their money back?
Oh thank you and you are welcome and you are my friend how can I help and have a nice day, they speak that all day long and VERY well! Mhm, and why are you so angry, ship us the bad product back and we refund the money ok? Shipping it back costs a fortune and nobody cares but it is actually against international maritime shipping law to ship OR return counterfeit items which a lot of them are yet they still won't give a refund even after you have received your return receipt, most of all there is nothing you can do!
Yes sir, alibaba and the 40 thieves and their sister company the DHgate is a SELLERS market and if there is ever a problem they will NOT side with you, for that reason many scammers sell their wares through them, many of them are just drop sellers who never even see much less inspect the product they sell so you don't know WHAT you are getting, I know, they took $300 of my money and sent me garbage, do a search on Google you will see many horror stories about these folks!
Meanwhile our international shipping laws do NOTHING to prevent them from sending counterfeit imitations! For those reasons I will NOT buy from China again!
I buy US market exclusively.

DHGate, Alibaba, Ali express are owned by eBay according to my research.
If you have issues its problems with International Law and not with the websites themselves. eBay does not have as much "clout" over there as it does in the U.S. Sadly, customer service is lacking, especially when they know they can get away with things. It took the DOJ to force eBay to make some basic changes to make things more fair. However, even lawsuits by the U.S. Government can't get eBay or Paypal to own up certain responsibilities. Forget about trying to get "eBay Asia" to change as well.
