New problem on my 2011 GY6 150cc Vogue trike! Ok, now all I get is the relay clicking when I try to start. Used a light tester and I'm getting juice to the starter and the relay??? I can turn the flywheel fan by hand, but still can't start with the key, just a relay clicking??? Now what??? I borrowed a GY6 relay switch to try, but I can't find it on the Vogue wtf. The relay connection on the starter goes into the wire harness and goes where???
Anyone have any thoughts how to get this ride running on the road??? A Very frustrated Savy! Need help!!!

If you are getting juice to the starter when you push the start button, then it is a bad starter or ground. Doubtful about the ground but is possible.

Put the battery on a trickle charger and retry. The click noise you hear is the gate in the relay shutting when voltage is applied. Voltage going to the starter starts at the battery which is connected to the POSITIVE pole on the relay. The relay gate shuts and power flows to the starter. If you have low voltage going TO the relay and not enough to turn the starter, you hear clicks. If charging doesn't work, and you are sure the battery is fully charged, then check the POSITIVE lead on the starter and the make sure the starter is grounded by checking its mount bolts.

You can eliminate the starter relay as the problem by shorting the two fat terminals with a screwdriver while the key is on. Be careful not to touch anything else with the screwdriver (like the frame). If the starter turns, you've got a bad relay.

Well I'm riding again...picked up the trike Mon. am and once again loose wires at the starter and relay... this trike is vibrating itself apart !!! I had the mech stop at this point (at $125 labor), and didn't touch the voltage issue. I will have to do a distance ride to the east end to my vespa buddy, for a sweep with a multi voltage meter and find the voltage loss once and for all. Im showing 13.5 charging on the chinameter. Keep you'all posted -- Savy
