Here's the deal.
I have a 4-stroke VIP. 100cc big bore with performance everything.
I keep running into troubles. When I bought the scooter to upgrade it, it was very old. So of course I started the 'domino effect' of putting a new performance part somewhere, and the next thing breaks. Replace that, then the next thing breaks, etc. etc. You get the picture.
I've done SO MUCH with it, of course having fun at first and enjoying my successes when they happened, but I keep running into problems. OVER AND OVER. PROBLEM AFTER PROBLEM.
I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I wanted this bike to go fast!
Of course I know just as well as all of you dawgs that pretty much no matter what you do to a 50cc 4-stroke, almost any STOCK 2-stroke can surpass it.
SO GUESS WHAT? I'M SCRAPPING THAT PROJECT, AND SAYING HELLO TO THE 2-STROKE WORLD!
I've never owned a 2-stroke, but a few of my friends do and just riding their stock ones I always think to myself, "Damn! My scooter can barely even do this...". I just need some tips/tricks/advice from you fellas. I haven't tracked down the 2-stroke that I'm going to get yet, but I have been looking. Here's my first (of MANY to come) set of questions:
1. Parts: What (if any) of my performance parts from my 4-stroke can I put onto a 2-stroke? Basically trying to save money. Like are the sliders I have able to be put in a 2-stroke?
2. Exhaust: The few 2-strokes I've been looking at have different exhaust pipes. Which one (if they have any differences besides cosmetics) should I get; the fatter, rounder ones that look like a 4-stroke exhaust? Or the really cool looking ones that double back over itself?
3. Upgrades: What upgrades are available for 2-strokes? Virtually the same as 4's I'd assume. Don't laugh, I'm semi-new to the whole 'mechanic' thing to begin with and my only repair/modification experience is with 4-strokes.
That should do it, dawgs. ANY help is greatly appreciated. I'm done with being satisfied 1% of the day and being frustrated 99% of the rest. It's time to ride with the best, the 4-strokes!
