i heard kevlar isnt that good because it isnt forgiving and can be hard on ur clutch and variator (like actualy wear a groove in the variator)

I bought a cheap Kevlar belt this season and it didn't look that great last time I checked, so I got a Gates powerlink to go on next. I don't know if my setup is hard on belts or what, but if this one doesn't hold up I'll try the gates brand Kevlar next.

No telling how long it will last that is always an unknown because it depends on how your CVT is working. Getting the stiffest springs on the Clutch will definitely shorten the life of the belt. Your CVT will create a lot of heat due to stiffer Contra springs.
AND WHY do you want a stiffer spring makes no SENSE you are causeing the motor to work harder and the Variator is going to get really hot and that is what damages the belts.

i thought it was necessary when you put a tuned pipe on there?

No not needed at all, you play with the weights to get the right rpms when the tuned pipe comes on and at that point it will make some good power. Wile
