Seriously guys (and gals), buy from these folks! Between Greg, and the rest of the staff, they're responsive and they DO actually call you back or send an email. It also helps that they're in Maine, not too far from cape cod.

New updates:
We have moved our hosting service AGAIN since our last one kept going down in the middle of the day. Site is super fast now.
We are expanding our product line and will have about 1000 new products offered sometime next month.
We will have many more scooters available online.
$5.95 Flat rate shipping and free shipping over $50 is still in effect. People seem to like this.
Scootdawg discount is 5% and not 10%. Sorry guys/gals, but some margins are so slim I actually LOSE money on the purchase with the fulfillment and handling charges.
Some products will be fulfilled from our shop rather than our warehouse or partner location. We are stocking more parts at the shop but it is still a minimal array.
Lots of USED parts will be added to the website for sale at cheap prices. Scratched, scuffed, broken, but fixable, guaranteed to work.

Oh, and we have a deal with Scrappy and will list select parts on our site for your convenience. Same list price with OUR shipping policies. Makes it easier if you need to buy some Scrappy parts and some Mainely parts in a single order.
Still working on bugs for the new platform, but everything will be more organized and easier to find.

My favorite part of the Mainely e-shop is the little red tag in the corner of the scooter pics that says "Save $0!" ;D

If others are having an issue getting the eShop top-right search feature to work using Internet Explorer, Google Advanced Search is an option . . example.

Greg deserves all the praise in the world. For about a week I've been bouncing questions off him and other dealers, and while he may not know the jet sizes in a 26mm CVK carb, he won't wait a week to tell you- in fact after making a big ole purchase and a list of questions to go with, he replied less than two or three hours later (even giving me a link to a competing site for what I was looking for (an exhaust system which he sells at Mainely for $10 less than anyone else!).
DO NOT HESITATE TO DEAL WITH Mainely Scooters. Great prices, great selection, and super prompt and honest communication. I'll be hugely surprised if anything happens to sour my experience.

I just wanted to say that finally, the new eShop platform has been rolled out. We are working to get the details ironed out (like properly categorizing the products after the import) but I'm happy to say that 90% of the photos have been fixed and our system is much better at tracking our inventory.
Faster and more complete. Hopefully fewer headaches with broken code.
It will be a while but all invoice history WILL be migrated over to the new system.

It wont let me order from my phone? It bounces from the new site to the old when I hit parts. I use to order from my phone so I didn't have to go home to order.

DNS incomplete propagation error. Not all the DNS servers have the new ip address routing. Should be fixed by now.
Also, will have a smartphone version of the site up soon.

LOTS of issues to fix with the new website. Still working on database issues. Funny, the new platform was supposed to be much better. But get a corrupt index that won't reindex then nothing seems to work right. Will get fixed soon.
Funny though, almost all our products are listed on Amazon now. And many of them are listed at lower prices than our regular website.

Since the other thread was getting clogged with other discussions...
Still having "issues" with the software platform my whole shop runs on. Open Source may mean no money up front, but LOTS of time spent on the back end getting things to work properly.
Still chugging away at the "ultimate" scooter website. Have the ideas, now its the implementation that is taking so long. At least I have some time now (until my fiancee arrives from Korea next month)

the coolest thing about Greg and his site.
he is actually a scooter mech, who started and works on his own scooters ( rentals) , then he decided to help others out with his knowledge by posting here, then he started his eshop and his prices are mostly cheaper than other sites.
and if you have a question about which part would work for you, best, he answers emails, quickly. he cant come hold your hand. and put it in, but supplies you with all the knowledge you need.
and all this while getting engaged, and continuing with his own life.
id give guy the shirt off my back, but now that he's engaged he might not appreciate it to much.
still waiting for scoot kat tho. if he lets me be a off site dealer

At least I have some time now (until my fiancee arrives from Korea next month) Greg Korean fiancées? Is there a website where you can order those? (-; Yeah, open source is great until you want something customized. Then when you do get it working, don't upgrade anything!

the "ultimate" scooter website Consider a YouTube Channel without the typical obnoxious music, nauseating camera movements, fuzzy focus, and insufficient lighting . . similar to DaBinChe. Also think about offering some pre-tested electrical parts such as ignition coils, CDI's, and voltage regulators . . acntvman/tvnacman has so far declined to commit to an online ordering website.

Hey mainepeace, I was looking to order a 150cc short case, and I had some questions about the axle length. I was able to figure it out and found a motor.
