hello all I bought a 2009 E ton about 4 mth ago I now have 410 miles on it. I would like some more speed right now the top speed on flat ground is 35 mph. Where should i start or should i wait till i hit 600 miles or when it the break in complete?

The stock Beamer CDI is rev limited. It is typically easier to just replace with a performance CDI but they're a little hard to find for an ETON, so most just derestrict the stock CDI. There are 2 wires looped external. If I remember right, one should be pink; cutting that one should raise your rev significantly.

Here is some parts www.scrappydogscooters.com/50cc_2stroke_Performance.html It will go faster once broken in . A larger mainjet will help and only 5 bucks or so , lighter variator weights will help . To really go faster you will need a tuned exhaust pipe as stocks are mostly limited to 8,500 RPMs . Only use premium gas , I uses Maxima synthetic blend 2T oil at first then switched to full synthetic Motul 710 oil . A NGK iridium sparkplug will fire better than the rest which is what you want since it burns oil along with gas . I put an unlimited CDI and it did not make a diff as the restriction is in the exhaust . Some have a washer in the variator that limits speed . Here is some info www.scootnfast.com/scooter/Tuning_mods/De-Restricting.htm

Premium gas does nothing unless your compression is 9.3:1.
Octane is directly related to compression. 8.3:1 = 83 or better octane 8.5:1- 8.7:1= 87 or better 9.1:1 = apprx 91 or better. 9.3:1-9.5-1 will need premium 93 octane or better.
8.3= 83 8.7= 87 9.1 =91 9.3= 93 10:1 = 100 10.4= 104 15.0=150
just move the decimal one place right.
This is how octane works. Otherwise you are wasting your money.

If scoot is fuel injected and does not say to use premium only then it has the necessary timing adjustments programmed to use 87 without mods or any spark knock.

Like i was saying, it has the timing curve for a certain range. For maximum output you should run 105 octane racing gas. I am a hot rot builder and the rules don't change lest the computer works around them. This is the same reason that gasoline driven airplanes still run leaded gas. Thats right those piper cubs are spewing lead directly into your air without any regulation. Again this is how you calculate correct octane for a running internal combustion system without a computer to aid in timing advance and retardation.
