My scoot is hard to start when cold. If I turn the AF screw in half a turn, then it starts right up. Makes me think it is too lean. Is the auto enrichener supposed to have 12VDC applied at all times? I get maybe half a volt at the connector. Any thoughts?

You are on it BRO, to lean, so leave it the half turn in. Yes it gets 12v as soon as motor starts. But easy enough to check just take it off and look at the PLUNGER if it is extended out of the HOLE of the HOLDER then it is NOT feeding fuel when cold, but if the PLUNGER is maybe a little retracted into the hole of the holder or right up to it then it is RETRACTED and it should be feeding fuel when cold. It gets air from the AIR FILTER side if you look at your CARBS air inlet you will see open slot or hole and they may be clogged. Wile

Thank you. I hooked up the auto enrichener to straight 12 VDC and I think it works. ( Didn't put a ruler on it.) Funny thing is there is no 12 VDC at the connector, ever. Wire that feeds it comes right from the Voltage regulator. Has good continuity from the regulator. Scooter runs great after start up, so really nothing seems wrong except lack of 12VDC at the enrichener connector.....

HUMMM, check the ground wire going to the enricher maybe that sucker is unplugged or not grounded good. But if it EXTENDS out about 3/16 of an inch it is fine. Let it idle and touch the enricher it should be hot. Wile

Checked the enrichener again hooked up to a battery. It does work. I will check after idling as per your suggestion.

Another way to see if it is working, Is take it off leave it plugged in and lay it on its side where you can watch it. THEN COVER the hole and start the motor and let it idle and watch the Enricher and see if it extends out. Wile
