So i'm new to 2t engines, and I'm wondering about smoke. I noticed yesterday a little white smoke from my exhaust pipe after a cranked up, and also after i took off. It didn't seem to last very long, and it definitely wasn't streaming smoke the whole way home. I figure a little smoke might be normal from burning oil, but like i said, i'm new to 2t engines, and i'm still trying to get used to it and all it's little querks. Thanks guys, any info would be greatly appreciated!

Yes 2T oil smokes well I now run Motul 710 full synthetic and it does not smoke as the synthetic blend did and nonsynthetic will more so . Only run premium 2T oil not weedeater junk as it smokes more , performs less and can foul out the plug . Run a NGK iridium as they fire much better and not as prone to foul with oil deposits on it like most can

Thanks again skuttadawg! I figured a little smoke was ok. I'm hoping the guy has quality oil in it seeing how it was his personal scoot and he also works in a shop that tunes and repairs bikes, scooters, ect. He was a nice older fella, and seemed to be pretty straight up with me, he also called me two two days after i bought it see how it was going, so that make me feel pretty good. I will also be getting an iridium plug, I'm not sure if that's whats in there now, but i guess it never hurts to put in a new plug. Also, another question i had was, if the a/f screw is on the intake side of the carb, that means i'm adjusting the air flow instead of the fuel flow, right? From what i've seen the screws work opposite from eachother, meaning that tightening the screw will make me run rich and loosening will lean out my mix...is that correct? Thanks for the help man!
