I got side swiped this morning and had to slide my YY250T under a truck. The front is all busted up, headlight were pushed in and I'm not sure whats holding them. Turn single broke, missing right side mirror, windshield destroyed. Looks like the whole front need some kind of work including lots of body work. Anyone know where I can get spare parts and body parts..?

If you were side swiped the other guy is at fault and his insurance will pick up the tab. Wile

I notice here in Phoenix, when the weather goes from warm (under 100) to hot (over 105), the heat has an effect on drivers as they acclimate. They are less observant, more aggressive, unpredictable, and more squirrely than usual, so I'm extra suspicious of everything on four wheels.

The same thing nearly happened to me. (Little old guy in a big new Lincoln.) Drove off never knowing how close he came to clobbering me.

barry, try ebay first. They try a sponser who posts here all the time. Even junkyards can have replacement perts for scoot. Good luck. Glad you are alive!

whoa there cowboy well hold off on buying parts, if the other guy has insurance, and its his fault there is a good chance they will total the scooter.
i got the price from roketa for all the parts i needed the exact same thing happened to my 54b. the price of the nose fairing, and headlight assembly combined with the shop labor for a shop to fix it was enough to total it out. and if they total it out see if they have a buy back so you can part whats left of yours out. mainly the engine and tranny
i have never seen more than 4or 5 250 scooters get parted out. and thats always for a blown engine.

I agree with chrome, wait till you talk to the claims adjuster before anything, however pick out a repair shop just incase the claims adjuster doesn't believe you on how expensive parts are and labor intensive it is to replace them, so you can refer him to them for proof on prices.

Sorry you guys. I guess "Side Swiped" was the wrong term. There was no contact. As i was turning left at a 4 way stop the driver facing me decided to go after I was in the intersection. I had to make a fast sharp left turn to avoid a collision and slide under a parked pick up. I was flat on my back in the street when the other guys turned his head to look at me then left, fast. Several people stopped to help which was great and I called the cops to make things legal.

Ya, my deductable is $250 with full coverage and up to $150,000 if require hospital. Body parts can add up to alot more than $250 if say have to replace most of the front end... But $500 is pushing it, with a Chinese cheapy.. lol Glad you wasn't hurt badly.

Nope, nothing and my deductible is $500, damn it. No traffic cam or shops nearby that may have caught it on their security cams? $500 deductible for agreed cash value based on the original purchase price, current book value or the actual cost of replacement with a new bike? These all make a difference. Your own insurance adjuster may insist on replacing the bike so wait until you hear from him. What are the police doing in an effort to track down a person who by eyewitness accounts, hopefully those that helped waited for the police and filed their accounts, caused an accident with potential injuries after violating someones right of way and then proceeded to leave the scene without filing a police report? That person should be paying for the bike, any injuries and replacement of your helmet and other riding gear that got scuffed up in the incident.
