-Im having throttle problems on my scooter that i cannot figure out. -When i am driving around 35-40+ miles an hour and then let go of the throttle fully for a second and try to reengage it again to speed back up it seems to get stuck or it wont do anything when i rotate the throttle until i reach about 15mph or less. this happened last year but that was due to low oil levels in the engine which is not the case now.
-Does anyone know what else could be causing this problem?? its definitely dangerous when i slow down and then try to speed up and i cant especially when there are cars right behind me
I opened up the Carb yesterday and took out the pin and what not and it seemed fine, cleaned the air cleaner as well. Adter this it was working just fine until later on right before i got home i was leaving a turn and gave it throttle and it was not going anywhere,
Any suggestions would be great.
Thank You

Define "it seems stuck".

By stuck i mean when i press the throttle it does not catch on and start/continue moving, and when i look at the throttle cable with the side covers off while driving, where it connects to the carb when it does not give throttle while pressing it , the cable and everything still moves so it cant be the cable, im thinking something with the carb but what i have no idea, or if there is anything else that could be causing this??
like i said it happened last year but that was because i had little oil in the scooter, once i added oil it was back to normal
Thanks.

Has the weather changed recently?
It sounds like it could be a bit lean. Is it a slide type carb or a vacuum operated one? Does the throttle cable go to the center of the carb or does it turn the throttle plate?
Check for a vacuum leak.
Perhaps it's the backlash from the last time you ran low on oil. The bearings and such could be damaged from accelerated wear.

I think its a slide carb, the throttle cable is on the outside and that pushes a mechanism that then pushes a level on the inside of the carb to open/close it.
After the oil problem last year it was working fine for a year,
My other thought is that my air intake to the carb pipe was slipping off a few times and i had to fix that issues and i think it started happening around that same time but thats been fixed as well but maybe it brought in too much air and damaged something? but nothing seemed like it was broken
