will not start

2007 Red Streak YY250 T Left on trickle charger , killed trickle charger batt.and don't know what else,replaced batt. when connected all lights came on,have tracked it down to Manostat on wiring schematic ,what is Manostat and where can find one or bypass it since it seems to have the alarm system in it and remote start which i have never used

oh dear....that is out of my league. I do hope one of the mechanics on here answers you. In the mean time, you may have to google "YY250cc Manostat" and see what pops up.

The manostat is a blocking diode. It only lets current flow one way. If it is bad it allows current tow flow either way and that is why your headlights come on when the key is off, draining your battery.

It is mounted on the frame, usually next to the regulator/rectifier and looks like a much smaller version of the R/R.

It should have a two wire plug and look like the one listed here on Ebay.

There are other types but this should give you an idea as to what you are looking for.

OK, I take that back. Most wiring diagrams refer to the regulator/rectifier as the "manostat". I still think it's your blocking diode that's at fault.

I agree with gatekeeper......I had the same problem last year on my 250b and installed a jumper with an on/off switch because the one I needed was always out of stock. The jumper and switch would great as long as I remembered to flip the switch on/off. More then likely had I kept the bike I would have eventually just ordered the diode and waitted for it to get in stock.

Thanks for info. I took the manostat out of the system and it fired up but I don't think it is charging,will have to get volt meter and check charging system, but at least I know it will run without that fool thing thanks again for info
