Here's my new Vespa ET2. It's my first scooter ever! So far I absolutely love it. It carries my weight very nicely and I make almost 43 mph. I am having a little trouble starting it sometimes though. Sometimes it starts right up and runs nicely but other times the engine doesn't turn over and I have to rev the engine right as I press the switch. Any help. I know I need to get the carb tuned but would this be the problem? Attachments:

Congratulations on your new scoot. I really love Vespa for their metal backbone unit body construction from metal sheets. Makes the bike feel like one piece handling wise. Just picked up an 2004 ET4 150cc that my gal just loves. The ET series is the start of what most consider the Modern Vespa design...which in 2006 migrated to the LX series of today...adding liquid cooling and in 2010 EFI. I like carbureted models because they are so easy to tune and maintain. The GT200 which I also have is liquid cooled, which I was intitially tentative...(having always owned air cooled scooters & motorcycles)...but the fear was needless. The GT200 is highway worthy, though I am now looking at perhaps a GT250 or 300 cause I like the power...
