Good grief. The saga continues. After 28 days, received MCO from Mooser Motorsports AKA Rider's Wholesale.
Local title bureau says they can't issue a title for it, because the MCO doesn't specifically state that the scooter has passed federal safety regulations.
There's no sticker on the scooter stating the same thing, so they can't title it. Referred to the state level, and they say the same thing. Without the wording on the MCO that it has passed federal safety tests, it can't be titled. Said I may be able to get that certificate from the manufacturer. Have a call into Sunright, but the guy I spoke to (Andy) said he's never heard of such a thing. He'll look into it and get back to me in 3-4 days.
I know there are other OH owners of Aeolus 300's out there (heck, they sell them in a local farm supply store around here and have for the past 2 years!).
Everything I read says I should just be able to walk in with the MCO and copy of receipt and walk out with a title, but it's not working that way.
Anyone in Ohio that can offer input or advice on how to get this thing titled?
Thanks,
Brent

Bought mine from a local dealer back in '08. They handled the titling.

Well, this ended up pretty well today. Just wasted a ton of time. Called back to the state and talked to a different person (in between over an hour of hold time). They kept saying that they never wanted the full VIN number for anything, but I finally offered again, and she took it down. Magically, after that, a higher-up person said to go back to the local title bureau and tell them to call the state and ask for "Ellis" and he'd give his approval. Said the local bureau should have approved it the first time.
Did that, and after they waited on hold for a while, he gave his blessing, and I had my title. Got my plates shortly after that, and am now a much happier camper!

Excellent! Glad it worked out. You should get many miles of enjoyment from it.

Sorry, I bought mine used so it was already titled.
