I've been playing around with the idea of upgrading my plan and getting a new smart phone. How difficult would it be to mount said phone on the 2007 Burgie 400 AN? Is there a kit? Would I have to go with "naked" handlebars (removing the plastic) to do this?
Anyone have photo's and ideas to share? Also if you have Metro PCS what do you think of their service?

Houndguy - I have an iPhone that I have installed on my scooter for a while now. I use a product called Ram Mount designed to house my phone and then there are several other parts that holds the phone to the scooter. Google "Ram Mount" and go to their website.
I have mine attached to the stem of my rear view mirror. There are components that will attach to your brake reservoir and many other places. It's a bit expensive but well worth it due to the quality and reliability. You will not have to worry about your phone falling off of your scooter at 55 mph when you hit an unsuspecting bump. :-)
I will add some pictures later to show how it looks.
As for Metro PCS, in Atlanta, GA, it's not bad. I can't say the same thing for other regions of the country.

Florida here, Metro PCS isn't bad. I've been using that cell service for a couple months now and havent had any problems.

This is my RAM mount. I got a better fitting U-bolt for it. since this picture was taken.

Here is my setup. WarrenS has the same U bolt that I am using. As matter of fact, he has the same clock mounted on his handle bar as I do. LOL! : - ) Because the post of the rear view mirror was so skinny, I did have to add my own tweek to get it to work. Below is the image from the front side. Frontside by scooteritch, on Flickr Below is the image of the setup from behind. Backside by scooteritch, on Flickr Ram Mount is a great solution and it is very versatile for mounting things to your scooter. On my iPhone, I usually have the GPS on showing me the traffic and I can have the weather radar running during inclement weather conditions. Also, I can stream music/radio via bluetooth to my bluetooth on my helmet. Good luck with your search.
