Ran this for the first time tonight... Wow, what a difference on toque and power. Went for a quick 5 mile check out ride and really noticed the difference. Hit 75+ mph (buried the needle) on the Chinometer. I'll have to verify with GPS as my stock speedometer is way off. Before with crushed rear tire: After with old Vento rear tire and new Scrappydog 90cc:

Anyone with the 90cc Scrappydog motor with exhaust pipe suggestions? I am using one from a "Mexican 90cc Vento".
I ran this one on my Vento with both the stock and new BBK with stock carb.

Drove to work today, not sure how fast this thing goes (still need to GPS clock it as the stock speedometer is way off) but I hit the "H" on the MPH below: Pretty damn fast!

And... It never broke 7k on the built in tach...
The stock motor would hit 8.5-9k WOT with an occasional 10.5k on big downhills hitting "65 MPH" max.

I have a 90cc and I have not been able to get it up over 55mph. How is your CVT set up? Are you using the stock carb and intake?

That Triton looks like MINE!
Just running the stock ones for now; haven't even opened the cvt cover (or changed the gear oil yet)...what pipe are you using- the turbokit 70cc? I have tried several for 50cc on my 90 and they did not work well at all...
I'll calculate my MPG tomorrow after another ride to work and back. The new stock 50cc was getting 61 MPG for the first 350 miles.

It is not easy at all to swap an engines 50cc to 90cc. You have to take an advice of auto Experts. I have strongly recommended every one to change your Scooter.

Actually, it really doesn't require much expertise. The process of doing the swap is simple. Having another set hands around every now and again helps the process, but can be done alone. The most important tidbits of info i can pass along through my 90 swap experience, is 1. You have to upgrade your carburetor (or up-jet), and exhaust, to keep your case temperatures down. 2. If you are using oil injection, make absolutely sure that you have your injection system bled properly, (yes they are bled like a disc brake line.) and properly adjusted to supply your crank, and all necessary components with adequate oil. Read here: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=yamajog&action=display&thread=3151on how to adjust your oil pump accordingly.

I'd say it was easy as well. Left the stock carb and airbox on it and added a stock exhaust from another 90cc I had. Only took a couple of hours and the hardest part was cutting off the starter plug and wire nutting it in place. Didn't hook up the oil injection as I had one fail on me in the past...which lead to a couple of soft siezes and a new BBK for my old Vento 90cc...
The new Rhon AKA Rocketa 50-> 90cc was a snap...No problems so far with the new 90cc crate motor on my new scooter.

Dude, I modified my post to clarify. The problems I had in the past with my other scooters, siezimg, etc. were a result of a broken oil pump.
The swap was easy, no auto experts needed. Just a couple of wrenches and a wire cutter and stripper.

Dert, Im sure the oil pump failing, had something to do with it, but personally, a stock exhaust, stock carb, and stock air box, does NOT supply adequate cooling to the crankcase. you will eventually seize the crank due to high heat, as well as inadequate oil. I'm actually dealing with that exact scenario at the moment. I'm rebuilding my 90cc (due to seizing my crank) to a 45mm stroker crank, and 54mm bbk. when i disassembled my top-end i found that my piston, and cylinder, had been severely scared. I was working with a stock carb with a raised needle, stock air box, and stock exhaust. As I mentioned in my previous post, i recommend a bigger carb, chambered exhaust, and a modified stock air box or uni free flow.

The bike with the the problems was a 2001 Vento Triton with a STOCK 90cc motor/carb/pipe. It was from Mexico and I put something like 12,000 KM (speedo in KMs only) on it when the pump failed and the piston siezed. I them put a 54 mm top end on it (replaced the stock 52mm)...
I used this stock 90cc pipe on my new crate motor with stock carb and airbox on my new Rocketa.
Take a look at some of first posts in 2009 when I was dealing with the Vento.
