Hello,
Name here is James.
I'm mid 40s, recently my father passed away beginning of April.
Mom had passed away in 09. I finished up a 20yrs stint in USAF
and then in '07 came home to take care of them.
Between my father's SS and my disability and retirement income
from that, I was able to stay home and take care of them- then
him until he died suddenly.
I may look at second career, but now is time to cut costs and
be more economical... would like to use my car as backup and
am looking to purchase a Aeolus 300 online as it seems it would
have enough power to get me around town (approx 280lb right now, but in process of lightening the load.
This scooter from what I've read around on the internet seems to be regarded highly as chines scooters go.
I've tried to educate myself by reading around and in this great forum that sunright in ga is the place to order parts from if/when needed. I've seen the guides/tutorials on changing fluids etc. as a prep before putting your scooter into use.
The dealers that I've come across online seem to be buytatvscheap com which has a riderswholesale com in it's header instead of the actual url.... not sure if this means anything one way or the other, and the site does have several yt videos about the scooter.
Also scootersus com
Price difference is a couple hundred between the sites and I would like to ask recommendations on either of these two dealers or not or any other more or equally reputable dealers that folks might regard highly in this forum.
Anything I need to watch out for?
I'm at the point I'm just about ready to commit, but figure there are folks in this forum experienced who might steer me int he right direction.
James
[edit:also just discovered the forum where dealers are discussed, will start perusing that]
