Hi I been wondering something about tuning a pipe on a bike that isn't CVT or a single speed. I have a honda gyro TG50 3 wheeler. its SO SLOOOW I know my muffler is plugged up and it is very restrictive. I have been toying with the idea of using a Leo vince ZX or a CPI stock 50cc muffler. I would mate the pipe where the stock muffler meets the header pipe, make a fancy bracket and look at minor airbox mod and up jet or carb swap. What I wonder is how the gearing will act with a different powerband? Because using rollers and contra spring allows us to tune to the pips's powerband right? So what about something like a tomos they are 2spd right? Getting gears and clutch parts is impossible for these things, but what whould one have to do if I add a pipe? The ZX is a very good 50cc pipe on a stock mineralli hor. & I happen to have a busted one hanging in shop. Attachments:

I am working on one for a friend, 86 Gyro it looks like the person that owned it before him thought the pipe was pluged also. They took the muffler and cut it into half a tried to weld it back togather. It seems like ZX would help if anything it would look better. Where did you get the diagram? You might find some info here. hondaspree.net/phpBB3/

Didn't know if I could post other sites on here. but it is from cmsnl.com, They have a micro fieche style lookup. On my bike someone ran 10w-30-10w40 in the oil injection system. When I got the bike I have to hot tank and flush the muffler 3 TIMES!!! It still spits thick black goo out the pipe. I have actaully sealedd the oil injection and running premix in it- started @ 32:1 but seems little rich on oil LOL. Pm me let me know if you beat me to this, and how it went. (I may be abit still) These bikes just won't go super fast because the gearing will limit top end. But took mine out yesterday and thought I was going to be killed in traffic.
A ZX could look sharp, but honesatly I have use Yamaha BWS stock muffler on a different bike and it made a huge difference, in the bottom end.

I havent drove this one yet. I had it runnig and working on the lights. I believe I need to seal the oil inj. to. When you mix oil to the gas you may need to up jet.

I went 50 to 1 on my moped that the injector pump went out . Maybe you can clean out your muffler and buy some muffler packing like this www.cyclegear.com/eng/product/re_pack_kit/web1007710 Heres a great source of info on it in case you do have it www.motorscooterguide.net/Honda/Gyro/Gyro.html I had 3 Tomos pedal style mopeds with the 2 speed . It did have better take off and top end but sometimes going up a hill it would switch gears back and forth will over rev and stalling . I had one that would lag a few times before shifting and I can honestly say it chirped the tire going into 2nd a few times lol . My Tomos had a tubular pipe instead of expansion chamber and did not sound like 2T nor perform like my 2T scooters . With an odd shaped exhaust you may have to do some customization if you can not find one that will bolt on . Maybe an offroad pipe could be modded to work and require rejetting . Hows the compression ? With it being that old maybe new rings will give it more life . Research to see if these may work on your engine www.scrappydogscooters.com/Geely_D1E41QMB_2T_parts.html . Hows the chain and gears look ? Chains stretch and teeth wear down . With such a low compression ratio it does not put out that much power even in new shape . I would research to see if you can find a head and cylinder replacement or see if the head can be milled . A 13mm carb is small compared to my 19mm on my 49cc 2T . I do not think you can convert a chain drive to CVT and if lucky could get a 140qmb to fit . I have had many Hondas and I put thousands of miles on a Express with a passenger . It would do 35 with 2 on it and I loved having electric start since most did not have it . Hondas are made to last forever

Sorry guys didn't relize that the other post came in as well. skuttadawg, This pipe cant be opened and it has been in the acid tank 4 times now. I was running 32:1 for the first tank of season. (my super CPI is now premix @ 32:1 as well) Dude, @ the end of the season last year, my oiler cable broke in the splitter that they used. so I removed the cable from the oil pump and the splitter. Then I capped the oil lines, off the tank and the pump. I want to remove the pump and possible the drive gear, possibly freeing up a very small bit of engine power. I will make a block of plate and remove the oiler. I prefer knowing the eninge is getting oil via pre-mix ( this toy is getting old and don't want to blow it up, parts are getting hard to find). I almost think I will be building a new rear end (frame) and using a minerilli hor. from a bws or cpi, run a sprocket on the rear axle and chain drive down to the wheels. I will post this idea later, I kinda wonder what a LIVE axle will do on this thing? Or I will have to make a drive axle and have the other side freewheel (like the gyro does already) My larger gyro (automoto 150) actually has a posi differential, BUT is part of the engine cases. If I could find a small rear differental that could take the power and speed I plan on using. I would have this build by now. This plan would allow the old rear end to be reinstalled so it is still stock, if needed. Any ideas where to find a small diff.? Thought of a lawn tractor but they probably won't take the speed.

I get dozens of spam messages posted on my eshop every day, even WITH a spam killer plugin. It's just annoying as hell.
