I took my new scoot out for it's first ride today, only added 6 miles to the clock, now reads 6.9. Not much of a trip, but, at 42* I wasn't what you would call warm. Supposed to rise into the 60's and 70's over the next few days, I'll definitely get her wheels spinning then.

Yes Silentwarrior, I did the PDI myself, retired 2 years ago, plenty of time to putter. Scoot arrived here from California on 3/16/12, been tinkering with it for nearly a month, changed fluids, fuel lines, vac lines, lock tight on all bolts, silicone caulk on all body panel screws, dielectric grease on all connectors, also removed about 12' of unnecessary hose and attached gizmo's, capped off all vacuum ports except the needed one. Loosened up the steering head, added a bit more grease to each bearing and re tightened. Have 2 new valve stems, not installed yet, and a Mikuni fuel pump on the way.
Starts and runs good, will make adjustments, if needed, after it has a little more run time....

What make and how many cc's...it looks like a tourer with that l-o-n-g flat seat right up to the top box...!

Sorry guys, I should've put that in first post....It's a Jonway 150cc...yy150t 29 or as my paper says MC65Y150 It is a very nice scoot...I rode a 2011 Jonway 200cc while on vacation in Hawaii...it was totally awesome and VERY comparable to my 2004 Vespa GT200cc, plenty of power, smooth running and carrys both me and my gal easily, and with new EFI technology and ABS braking, in many ways BETTER. Though I still am keeping my Vespa GT200, the Material Girl) has metal backbone, floorboards and rear wheel cowls where it counts and though carbureted, there is no mistaking the real thing, kinda like my Harley!!!

What do you think of your 29 now that you've had it for awhile? mine is exactly like this. Have you been able to get it up to 65mph and do you get over 55mpg. Just wondering. I have 1000 miles on mine and planning on putting 2000 on this coming season. No problems yet. If I had any complaints it would be the small gas tank. Goodday.
