I've been lurking around here for over a month now, decided it was time to say hello. I'm a retired trucker, 64 years old, wanted a new toy, so ordered a new scoot Feb 29th, it was delivered Mar 16th (damage free), have been taking my time with and enjoyed doing PDI, started it up for first time yesterday morning. In the PM, went to town, took care of insurance, and registration. All I need now is the weather to warm up a bit.
This forum is great, you can learn a lot from the experiences of thousands of folks and millions of miles of scooting. I don't believe that saying about old dogs and new tricks.... I'm old, and I'm still learning....Oh, my new toy is a Jonway yy150t 29 (Milan style scoot) Bob

Whereabouts in WNY?
I'm not there; but I lived for years in Jamestown and Buffalo. Unless things have changed drastically, it's a lonely place to be a ScootDawg.
Have fun...make sure you got your studded tires there, for the Black Ice of May!

I'm about 70 miles east of Buffalo, 45 miles south on Rochester, closest village is Dansville, 7miles. ...Oh. Out of my neck of the woods...so to speak. Never got to know that part of the state. My mother was originally from Utica; and I knew that town pretty well when I was a kid. And, up until I was ten, we used to spend three weeks each summer in the Adirondacks. About 50 miles north of Old Forge. I'd love to get up there on the twisties with my BMW...or even a scoot. Those roads were made for slalom runs...NY 28 and 30; beautiful; would be a real challenge. But I don't know when or whether if ever.
