i would stay way from 10 inch wheels, the small wheel shock combo doesn't take much of the shock out of cracks, dips, potholes, and other such road way conditions. i rode one for a while, a bump at 45 doesnt get dampened much. they used to make a 13 inch retro but not anymore. i would go for something with 12 to 13 inch wheels. The interceptor, or as it used to be called the F4 is a decent scoot, (wasnt the fastest). the body type you want would be helpful. 10 inch wheels are great i roll 60mph on mine, no problem. road conditions are no prob. but it depends on where a person lives and rides i mean you don't want to drop into a pot hole, but scooters have small wheels. thats how many of us like it for riding at distance however, w/e floats your boat. but the people i ride with have 10in wheeled scoots and go up and down Pacific Coast Highway with them and beyond all day long. its a blast this woman has rode nearly 70,000 miles the last 4 years on ten inch wheels. its a good thing www.genuinescooters.com/feat/bone_girl.htmlthats old. she only had 32,000m then!! i mean if she can do it....c'mon! are we not men?

As for body type, something sporty would be nice but since our main road speed is 55mph (US 223) I would like to be able to hit that speed to keep up in traffic. I already have a few 50cc mopeds for around town but it would be nice to take a 20 mile trip to Blissfield from time to time and to do that I need to do 55mph. Thanks for the help everyone. Mike I don't think you'll get that sort of speed with a low-priced 150. Maybe when Honda gets its updated PCX out - but you know that won't be cheap. theres a couple at my kawi/honda dealer. its nice but it was somewhere around 3k+ asking price since the rucks command a 2500 where i live. i would rather spring for a super 8, rather then get a pcx, what with kymcos reliability verse the price gap.

There are good used 150s that'll meet your needs if you're patient looking on craiglist. Piaggio LT150s, Piaggio Fly 150s, and Scarabeo 200s come up at reasonable prices (sub $2,000...often around $1,500-$1,700). Aprilia sport cities will often pop up around $2,000 for a 250. I also see Kymco 250s around the $2,000 mark.
I ride of 55 and 65 mph highways on a fairly regular basis on my Vespa ET4 (150cc, 12 bhp), and it's fine. 55 all day or 60 all day would be no big deal. The 65 mph speed just means I need to ride more carefully since I don't have extra juice (I'd also not cruise at 65 mph). A 150 on a highway is lke a 49cc on a 40 mph in town road - ride in the right lane, be a defensive drive, and you'll be fine.

No I see what u mean man and thanks for looking out. My problem is once I buy something and get it running good I can't sell it and I keep it for myself lol. lol im the same way, i got the scooter in my sig, for 75 bucks not starting and all it needed was a new cdi and a carb clean up. Turns out i wanted a scooter cause i ride it to work everyday now, finding it hard to wanna sell the old scoot.
