Hi. My name is Lou (I'll be posting as LceeL) and I just bought my first scooter. Of course, it's Chinese - a Roketa MC54-250B. I bought it from an online source, although the deal was made by phone. County Imports (also known as County Motor Sports or CMS) is in California - and so far? It's been a good experience - although I'm a bit unhappy with the freight carrier. Right now, my scooter is in a nearby terminal (next town over) and has been there since Monday afternoon. Tomorrow, Thursday, they'll deliver. So, in other words, it will take this carrier just as long to move it the last 10 miles, as it took to get it to that terminal from California.
Meanwhile, I'm like a 12 year old waiting for Christmas. And I'm 66. Over the years I have become an "Instant Gratification" kind of guy - when I want it, I Want It NOW!!! - and this waiting is wearing, to say the least. On the other hand, maybe this could cuase me to lose some weight, right? I mean, all this nervous anticipation has got to do SOMETHING worthwhile, right?

Well, shalomdawg, Plainfield is about 40 miles southwest of Chicago. Used to be fairly rural out here, but not so much anymore. And treeluvr, I learned to ride a motorcycle a few years back by going to the MSF course at Joliet Junior College. I do appreciate riding safe - what it takes and what it means. Helmet. Protective clothing. Boots. And, most important, being aware of where I am and where everybody else is, too. And the two second interval. Ride safe. Ride aware. Ride away.
