The 139QMB engines come in three different lengths. The short case is a 669 belt. You must have the medium size cause the long case uses a 729. Here's a link to a 681 belt. Order a couple of them. www.partsforscooters.com/106-92_CVT_beltI took this pic a couple months ago:

Those cheap belts won't last very long. Get a Gates Premium. We currently don't stock that size though.

nothing but the cover comes off.
always moving with rollers front and back clutch counter clock wise, you can take belt off rolling it off front while tight against back axle with variator compressed apart, I changed my belt in 5 minutes.
put cover on (ten minutes) and boy was it smoother .
spray out clutch with break or carb cleaner while in there.
i looked for the video that shows this but could not find.

You can't do that on a 50cc Terra cause the front pulley outer drive face is too large. Anyway, once a belt breaks the variator slide out farther than spec and the rollers will get jammed up inside the variator so you have to at least take off the front pulley but on a 50cc it's difficult to get the belt on the rear pulley without removing it as well. Lastly, the last thing you want to do is spray a solvent on the clutch. It's full of grease and it has bearings with grease in them. Mainpeace: I searched and searched but could not locate a Gates 681-17.7 anywhere. I did find a Mitsubishi belt at the link below but I don't know or trust this site so I didn't post it before. they are "out of stock" anyway... www.mrscooterstore.com/SPD/z-belt-681x17-7--800012BB-1247247719.jsp

I can pull the belt off without tools (minus the cover of course) on ALL the 50cc scooters that I've worked on in our shop, including our rentals and repairs. You just need to compress the clutch with your hands and push the belt all the way into the spindle. The belt should be able to fit over the variator. Hold it and the backing plate with one hand so the rollers don't shift, and remove the belt. If you release the variator even a tiny bit the rollers can shift and you need to get out your impact wrench to remove the variator nut.
It's possible Gates doesn't make that size belt. We sell Gates belts and we do not get that size belt from our distributor. Bando is another good brand that many like more than gates.

Hmmnnnn.... I know what you are talking about but when I tried it on my 50 4T it didn't seem to wanna work the way you describe it. I didn't want to damage the belt on the drive face gear teeth. It works a lot easier on the 150's and the Minarelli 2 strokes. If you have an impact and we all should have one then why not remove both pulleys?
I searched Bando 681 and came up blank as well.
I've had this vid bookmarked for years. If you notice the guy never allows the variator to slide outward because the rollers can/will fall out of their slots and get jammed up. If the belt breaks that's what happens so you have to remove the variator anyway.
