This thing Gotta Go- I alligned the front to 1/4 inch toe in and set the shocks too the stiffest setting. Still won,t stay upright as you start to go? Put the steady back on to turn in the driveway and it fell over on me at about 3 mph- My Leg was caught underneath and I,m lucky it wasn,t the pipe side. Neighbor helps lift it off me ( Its 325 Ponds- NOT ME- The Trike- LOL) and I go in the house with a cut leg and Big Bump on my Brain. I always wear a helmet BUT wasn,t as I was just in front of my house? With my luck I should probably wear a helmet around the house. I sell it" as is "in Need of a good allignment for $1,200 with no test drives on Craigs List. I should never have bought this vehicle. Your experience may vary?

If you recently bought it, you should demand your money back due to the wrong specs online and argue to them about all the accidents you have had. Stick to your Spyder!

dayseeday,
What is that spyder you are riding on? Did you have problems with it prior to riding? I would really like on like that, but I have heard nothing but bad. What kind is it? Where did you get it? What problems did you have getting it to where you can ride it?
Thanks

Sorry, Should be Dayseedee. I am really excited to see someone who thinks these are great. I want to get one. Please respong it is the df150tka also known as the mc_d150tka. I bought it at Supersportz.com. I received it fully assembled, the only problem i had was it did not want to start so i had my mechanic come pick it up and he cleaned out the carbureter and did a wheel balance and it runs with no problems. I bought it for me but it is too big so i gave it to my sister and ordered me the 50cc version. You can call 1951-662-3828 and talk to Tom, tell him Donna sent you!

youtu.be/1XyDwAPOff0Dayseedee- After watching your video it really appears quite easy to balance BUT mine wants to keep falling to one side or the other as I start to lift up my feet. Wish I could find out why. Maybe the guy who fixed yours could tell me what he did because yours was like mine as I understand?

Any help would be great! Right now its for sale "As Is' in need of allignment for $1,400 on Hartford CT Craigs list. awww sorry you decided to sell it!!! I spoke to my mechanic and he said it is definitely an alignment problem, when he rode mine for the first time it acted in a similar manner as i described what yours is doing. He said he put some weights on the wheels and adjusted some rods in the front and stiffened the shocks and tightened some bolts to get it to stay upright and keep a straight line. I told him your bike always takes a lean when you lift ur legs to go...he said it could be the rods are bent and to check the handlebars. If none of that works call the company and they should honor the warranty, that is a big loss selling it for half the price!

Thanks- The tech guy at Motobuys was there today and because it always seems to fall to the left he said to switch the shocks and see if it then falls to the right? If so they will send New shocks. I,ll do this and readjust the Tye rods and report back (After it stops raining?) Thanks Attachments:

Thanks I truly hope you get this trike fixed, it is so awesome with the customized paint job and all the time and effort you have put into this trike. Good luck when swapping the shocks and please be careful when trying it out since the pipe is on the right. Send some of that rain to Texas, we sure could use it!

Sarge, Don't sell till you try these last fix's. I think your that close to a final fix, and it will work just fine. That being said, it should only be a matter of balance on your part. You can do it!!! Savy

Hi all, hope everyone has survived the storms with no problems. I live in WNY and we have been spared for the most part. I have been riding when weather permits with little problem. I keep checking , tighten and measuring to be sure I am good to go. The one question I have is on the shock adjustments. What has everyone found to be the best and what is the best way to adjust. I weigh just over 200 and wonder what someone my size has found. All the information on handling adjustment is of great help as we move forward. Thanks for your help in advance on this.

Stewali- In a thread at scooterdoc.proboards.com says that the front shocks are best at the stiffest setting and he has over 500 miles last I heard. To adjust I lifted (Jacked) the front end and used a very large adjustable wrench. Easy to adjust with no weight on the wheels.

I found on mine that setting the shocks to the stiffest setting works for me hitting the road up lifts at speeds of say 45 to 50 mph and I weight in at 230. I'm going to sell mine to get something bigger but don't know what yet..

received my 2 new trikes today from motobuys assembled the front end and went to hook battery up to pop seat to take out other parts. there's no battery there or wires to hook up battery under foot rest just a empty spot where it all should be. the seat is electric release. called tech support and they told me it should be under the footrest also. just wondering if anyone else has a new one and how to solve the problem. both scooters were like this Okay tech support just called me back and told me the battery is now under the seat and that the seat lock is not electric but will still not open when the key is turned to the open position

Thanks for the infro on the shocks. I picked mine up set it on tool box and turn to stiffest setting with large channel locks. I rode it a little bit after and it seemed better. It stop the leaning to far feeling. Again this blog is all we have and it has been a great help for me.

Added a beeper to the turn signals today. I just removed front cover two screws and spliced it in line. I used a buzzer from Radio Shack part #273-066. I used one on each side as that is the easy way out. I thought it worked great and sound was loud throughout ride. Total cost was about $12 and well worth it. Safe riding to all.

Now if you are a Light and the Beeping or BUZZING gets on your Nerves here is how to fix that. Go to Radio Shack and get Relay #275-248 , solder the Wires from the Beeper onto the Relay. Then Find the Live Brake Wire when you pull the Brakes. On mine it is a Light Green Wire, there are only Two wires coming from the Brake side and one is Light Green and the other is Dark Brown or Black. So I used the Probe and WHOLA it works great. I also mounted the Relay under my Handlebar Cover along with the Beeper. So now when you turn on your Turn Signals and come to a stop or light and are waiting to make the turn you are most likely holding the brake. The turn signal will be flashing but no sound will be immited UNTIL you release the Brake to make your turn to remind you after you make the turn to shut the turn signal off. Lefty HERE IS HOW TO WIRE IT UP:

Hi everyone...well, in spite of what I read on here about the problem with the MC_D150TKA reverse trike, I bought one. And...for the most part I haven't really had any problems at all, except for one. When I get up to about 40 mph, the front wheels start to shake badly. I took my tires in to a tire shop here in town and had the tires balanced, so I'm certain it's not that. I was wondering if anyone else had that problem, and if so, what did you do to fix it.

Your issue may be more alignment than balance. Use a couple of dowels, and mark the distance between the flanges on the wheels just below the bead of the tire, at the front of the wheels and at the rear. Mine tracks well with just a trace of toe-in (the front of the wheels about 1/16" closer than the rear). One way to tell is if the bike seems to track fine at speed, but as you get really slow coming to a stop, it seems to "wander" a bit. If so, check the alignment.

WOW....that was some solid advise, cliftoc. I did exactly what you said, and it has made a huge difference. It's not perfect, still has an ever so slight wiggle at higher speeds, but it's damn close to perfect. A bit more adjusting, and I think I'll have her dialed in. Thanks again.
