received my 2 new trikes today from motobuys assembled the front end and went to hook battery up to pop seat to take out other parts. there's no battery there or wires to hook up battery under foot rest just a empty spot where it all should be. the seat is electric release. called tech support and they told me it should be under the footrest also. just wondering if anyone else has a new one and how to solve the problem.
both scooters were like this
Okay tech support just called me back and told me the battery is now under the seat and that the seat lock is not electric but will still not open when the key is turned to the open position

That is a good size Trike, Maybe you can go under there and see if you can pull on the cable to open the seat. It may not even be connected and since it opens with the KEY that is only a little movement of the cable. May need to take out any slack in the cable.
NICE LOOKING TRIKE, Hope you like how it rides and turns and runs. Let us know how you like it and pros and cons. Lefty

On scooters that use the ignition switch to unlock the seat sometimes the cable can be adjusted improperly from the factory. You can take the front cover off to access the ignition switch and take the slack out of the cable. There is usually a cable adjuster where the cable meets the switch.

That is correct, the seat lock is not electric. When you turn it left you have to really turn it hard....and heyyy, what a pretty little gale yougot there....What is that a 250cc or is it a 300cc?

When you turn the key to open the seat, make sure you are NOT pushing in on the key. If it still won't open, look up under the the trike where the ignition switch is located. You will see a cable going to the side of the ignition switch. Grab the cable as close to the ignition switch as you can and give it a pull. That should open the seat, after that you need to adjust the cable. If that does not work, I would suspect the cable is either come unhooked or is broke. Jim/Owner Rapid Repair

I Must Apologize!! The seat did open after I took the key off the ring and had better leverage. Battery, mirrors and cables to hook up battery ARE under seat. Now for an afternoon or 2 or 3 of Going Over everything in the PDI list. Thanks Pictures coming . The 3 video,s many watched are quite different~!

After talking to Kelly from ScooterDepot 626-257-1065 (He handles tech stuff for SunL Imports) I mentioned the front end width on mine was only 40" WHILE the specs said 52"? He said the NEW 2011 ones we are getting are Brand New and they (China Engineers?)changed the front to be narrower because of some handling problems with the 52" wide front? We should hear some reports soon. Ihave to register it before I ride .

I wonder if they just didn't put on the 50cc front end on them. Since you also mentioned the Fenders are like the 50ccs. Lefty

Okay yes you have to turn that key HARD feels like your going to break the key. next problem was it did not want to start primed line but would not fill fuel filter so grabbed a new one . same thing>? there was a chunk of metal in the fuel line from the tank to the fuel valve. changed and now rolling. takes some getting used to. does not ride like motorcycle or anything else that i have rod over the years talk about tilting . the bike almost lays on its side Handles great on smooth roads now the bumps and potholes are another thing gets a little shaky. storage compartments are junk pop open every time you hit a hard bump adjusted twice but its just bad latching hardware They changed some things from the last Model. starting with the 50cc front end . it is smaller then before almost 10in more narrow. 4 Lug nuts instead of the 5 torq screws. Battery compartment is not under footrest now mounted under seat in rear. now comes with a quick release storage trunk that rattles like crazy.

Mine still won,t start? Gonna have to start with the fuel delivery like you did. "Doesn,t ride Like any motorcycle or anything else?" Is it dangerous because I,m 62 and want to see 63? LOL Guess thats why they charge $7,000 for the real MP3? Do you countersteer OR lean into the sweeping curve road? Are YOU going to keep riding it?

Sorry to hear you guys are having so much trouble. I hope you can get it sorted out. I was really looking forward to some positive reviews as the price of this trike came in just under my $2500 allowance. I like the style of it too. Oh well, the search continues!

youtu.be/zvgdMbwEqUYThis is the video of the 50cc one that looked easy to ride if the "Big Guy?" can ride it. There is also one of him riding it over big rocks and gravel parking lots? He must be a Pro!! I have already got rid of packing stuff and painted some parts Sooo all I can probably do is get it Running and sell it Brand New to a younger kid! Any thoughts? I hope Losmandeals can elaborate on the problem areas of riding it?

I'll let you know. all in all it was a good purchase for only $2,300

Hmmm... Not sure what happened; I was posting a reply and lost it, so I will go again. I have 3rd hand (from a dealer guy from a importer guy from a factory guy) that they went with the narrower front end because of bad feedback from riders cracking the front wheels into things just being not being able to get used to the idea. I have a late 2010 with the narrower front end, and it seems to ride similar to the Piaggio MP3 that I rode, but could not afford. I am a DBK amputee with prosthetics, and I like being able to lock it upright while I maneuver it around gas pumps, garage etc. I had a couple wide-eye moments with the front wheels at gas pump islands, but got used to it quickly. I can see where another ft of width could be big-time strange. I enjoy mine, but would like a 250 or 300 version at about the same size and weight; I would like to do some longer trips on it. Mine cruises best at about 50.

Cliftonc- How did it turn from a Light doing a 90 degree turn? I Noticed in the video the guy using some rear brake when doing slow turns? How were the gradual sweeping turns and more aggresive turns? I too could not afford a MP3.

fuel line goes from gas tank to vacuum fuel valve and then into the filter then in carb. remove filter and line going from gas tank to vacuum fuel valve. i replaced my line with blue clear fuel hose and a $3.00 fuel filter from auto zone.
