Real bad luck.....hope everything turns out ok. I got into a similar accident when I was 21......broke my leg when a woman turned in front of me. But I recovered ok, and started riding again as soon as I got out of the cast. Hopefully you'll do the same. Hi Bluefront, They put the cast last night so I have to stay here in the hospital for another 24 hours to check if the placement is okey and if the circulation is fine. The cast will stay for 2 weeks. I might not drive the scooter for a month until I can walk.

Dang Rose, thats rough! But think about the fact that we dont spend time in church and with the Lord just to do a good duty...its to remind ourselves, among many other things, that Jesus said "Be anxious for nothing..." and "Fear not..." Take this time to pray and thank God youre not having the conversation face-to-face! Dont worry about tomorrow...sufficient for tommorrow are its own worries. Get well quickly! Hi dmplessy, Thank's for the spiritual advice. My cast will stay for 2 weeks so it means I can not go to work for that length of time. I am still under probationary period so it may affect my evaluation. I might lost my job because of this. Anyway this is what life has to offer me. God bless!

redrose, you will retain your job im sure, because of the nature of the accident. just let the HR know that you are still interested with the job and will return as soon as recovered, put this in writing and have the Nursing director and the Hospital director sign it.,that way you are guaranteed of the same position when you come back... so sorry to hear about your dilema.,.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Confidential:--> for redrose only, others pls don't read!! (this is with regards to RR's another problem, which i don't want to disclose here) Remember the song "the Greatest Love of All"?...this song means, the greatest love of all is "ones self"...love yourself before you love others...you gave too much and he didn't reciprocate, hell with him...time to love yourself RR. you are a fine young lady...build your self esteem again , pick up the pieces and move on...he is not worthy of your love.... ...and your'e a registered nurse,,what are you doin there,,you should be here in the US and start earning $$ lol !!...anyway,take care and heal soon!

SO VERY SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR ACCIDENT. HOPE YOU RECOVER SOON.
Riding a scoot or motorcycle is always a dangerous thing to do, but those of us who love riding take that risk all the time.
One thing I do ALL THE TIME is wear ALL MY GEAR. Even when I ride to the Spanish center where I teach, I always wear my helmet, jacket, (even in the warm weather), boots, leather pants and gloves.
When I was first learning to ride, I took a bad spill in the MSF class. The only safety gear I had on was a helmet. I was badly bruised and had a big burn on my leg. I immediately went out and bought all the safety gear and wore it all the time. At a later date, I took another spill. But since I was well protected, I only had a small bruise on my leg. On the rare occassion when I ride to church, I still wear all my gear.

We won't regret if we didn't do any mistakes...so yea it's just a matter of learning. It's on my 7th day with cast so I will be okey soon. Thank's a lot.
