Here in Missouri, regular unleaded runs one $3.50 per gallon. I think, gasoline prices will soar to around $5 per gallon, by the end of the year here. I figure, it will go up in price, due to peak price season from May to August( about a buck higher). Rise another 50 cents due to the Middle East crises. The highest gas prices was set in 2008 for Missouri prices of $3.98 per gallon. In Feb 2008, I bought my scooter new and it has come in handy in these hard times. Pretty nice getting 70 mpg..

Well, I hear, gasoline could rise as high as $10 per gallon, if Saudi Arabia has a uprise. It could happen, but I hope it doesn't.. Will not be driving the car, if this occures. Depend on my scooter to grocery shop and pay most bills. But it staying at $5 per gallon for any length of time, will ruin our economy all over again.

I love all these predictions of gas going to $7 or $10. The market wouldn't support that back in 2007 & I don't see that kinda support now. Hate gas prices love my scooter! $3.69 here in Wisconsin.

I am not minding the gas prices much today. I went from driving a Monte Carlo with a really thirsty six cylinder to my Motofino scoot with a 250 cc engine. Hmmmm..... What a different feeling when I only have to fuel up once per week and the damage is less than 10 bucks. If the price rise keeps up, I am going to drive that scoot through the winter. It is only a few miles to my job!

Well, gasoline shot upward to $3.59 per gallon in Missouri. It will continue to rise, due the the Middle East unrest. But in the summer time, gas rises due to demand. Might get a double wammy( rising due to demand and unrest). So my scootdawg forum prediction last December was, Gasoline will rise to $5 per gallon or more, by December 2011. It might get to $5 per gallon in Missouri, by July 2011. A 83 year old man said to me," What gas milage does that scooter get"? I said," 70 mpg". He said," Hang on to it, because gasoline is going to hit $10 per gallon soon". This could get scarey. Adding $30 to my scooter. But cars would be adding $100 to $200 per tank depending on size. I am glad I bought my scooter.

saoul, Yes, I felt this way in 2008. Bought mine in February 2008, just before high gas prices hit. It is still in perfect condition and ready for 2011 high prices at the pump. They really are great gasoline savers. Good luck with your scooter..

I have to say that I could not have made as much progress this fast if it wasn't for this forum. I went from zero experience to getting all of the answers I needed right here. All of you are very friendly and never made me feel like an idiot for what turned out to be some really easy solutions. I am always one to say... never reinvent the wheel.... That is why we have forums... I just hope I can gather enough experience to one day help out someone that is starting out.

I am sure you will help out others too. That is what the forum is for. Not everyone is correct about a problem, but they only suggest things that it might be. Most of the time, helpers lead one another to the problems. It is a great forum. I think everyone tries to be helpful.

Yesterday was $4.22 for premium, which I run in my scooter. Regular unleaded was about 30 cents cheaper. Glad we are pretty well set for high gas prices, got scooters, a Honda Civic that gets close to 40mpg highway, and even our Ranger gets upper 20's on the highway, and the KZ1000 will eek out 40mpg if I take it easy on the throttle. Even if the gas got to $10 a gallon I would still ride my bikes, just to much enjoyment to give up.

Ya, I grew up in Clear Lake CA in a town called Kelseyville. Went through high school there and helped my grandparents with 1000's of parakeets. They raised them and sold to Hartz. Ya, 4.20 is pretty bad. Now I live in Belle MO where gas prices are $3.59 per gallon.

Man, you better be careful. It looks like it hurts something awful. My grandparents, still live in Kelseyville. My uncle lived in Lucern off the lake. He lives in Upper Lake now. There is about 100 miles of shoreline on Clear Lake. I was back there in 2009. Visitted my grandparents. It has grown quite a bit, since 1981. Still a beautiful place to live.

So I was delivering pizza for my son-in-law's pizza shop last night and found a place here called US Gas. Their gasoline is about 25 cents more expensive but has no added ethanol. I filled the tank ( 4.29 a gallon) and to my surprise my milage was about 5 mpg better. I didn't realize how much of a ding in your gas milage ethanol takes.... I think I am going back with a gas can for the scoot.

Ya, here in Missouri, we can't get pure gasoline no more. 10% Ethynol must be added to the gas. Sucks.. I buy a octane booster to mix with the gas, to here less pings. Ethynol is corn alcohol added to gasoline. So basically it makes foods cost more. I don't agree with this method to really making gasoline cheaper but we pay more for foods with corn in them.

USA can see the poopy end....and its getting closer to hitting them too!!!! LOL!
