I decided to try an experiment about a month ago, and I removed the vacuum operated fuel pump and replaced it with a small electric pump. It works flawlessly, and there is nodelivery problem at all. It's quiet, and it doesn't over power the needle and seat. So, if you are having starvation trouble, this may be something you want to look into.

stan i was planning that for the longest time, problem is where to source out a small pump that wont melt with contact to gasoline, thought of using windshield washer motor, but that might melt too. BTW what electric pump did u use? saw a small pump made by delphi model t-11....
