Hey everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know Dennis rode his Yamaha Zuma 49cc from Ft Wayne, IN. to Corsicana TX. (1050mi) He will be living there in Texas as far as I know. I don't know why he left, he just disappeared one day without telling anyone. His sister called me today and gave me this information. I will post any more info I receive. He sure will be missed on our Sunday rides. Ohhh my god, talk about the Iron Butt award.... He earned that one LOL.. Keep us posted john, and if you talk to him let him know hes missed.. God I wonder how he drove thru all those states without being in compliant with their scooter laws... wow someone was watching over him.. Yeah, his butt is more harder then yours. LOL I thought you rode a lot, but he wins... I think.. lol

I think Dennis is the smartest one of the bunch here. He went south where the weather is much warmer. He can ride all winter without frostbite. I miss him anyway

Dennis still should have let his friends know what he was up to.. I know he's a grown man and all, but that is a dangerous ride to undertake without telling anybody... I'm missing every one, especially the rides, and meetings at Mcdonalds.. That was fun and next spring Ill definitely be there to ride with everyone again..

Congratulation on the Garmin, I think the best time to buy a new scooter is in the winter, after new years but before tax time when prices are rock bottom. I'm a little confused as to why you want another scooter, I think the one you have now is very nice, But to each his own... At least we won't get lost on our drives LOL

I want a scooter that can go 75 mph- 80 mph. So I can keep up with the traffic on Interstates. The speed limits for Interstates 65 mph to 70 mph. My current scooter barely hit 55 mph even after gauge says i am going 60 mph. So I been checking out the new 250cc to 300cc scooters online. The one I own is a 150cc. And LOL about the GPS. Yeah I can use my GPS to find my way back home hehe.

hmmm took my scooter out day before yesterday. I wanted to know my true speed. So I took my GPS with me, and didnt like what i seen. My GPS said i was going 50 MPH, but the gage said 61 MPH. So the gage is off by 10 MPH. I cant wait to get my new scooter !!! Then I will reach true speeds of 75 MPH.

Hi Phillip, yea I know your speedo is off, it's pretty common with Chinese scooters, I know it may be a little unsettling to you but honestly you have a heavy scooter for a 150, and performance for most 150's is 50 to 60. So your right in the normal performance range for a 150... Sometimes I think the Chinese like the speedo's lying to the owner as a means of selling their scooters...
I also tend to believe your gps as I have driven with you, my scooter back then only did 45 tops, and I didn't do a bad job of keeping up with you.. So don't worry, enjoy your Christmas, and I look forward to seeing your new scooter when you get it...

Phillip,
Find a big hill to go down & maybe your wheels can catch up with the speedometer
Did you check the GPS with your car speedo? The GPS is probably more accurate than the Chinese Scoot speedo
Most all the Chinese scooters are off 5-10MPH on top end Don't let it bother you, it is still a lot of fun

Phillip, Yes she does look good standing next to your scooter. She will make your scooter look even better with you & her on it. I wish she would ride also.
I didn't get to ride mine today but I sold a used one today and he got to ride. Not the same as me riding but I liked it.

It looks very very nice, I pray it gives you many miles of trouble free riding. Yesterday was a wonderful day to ride, I didn't know the outside temp, but i rode with no gloves or coat and had a good time, only 150 miles to go and the break in is done.. So when you going too post video and pics of you and the scooter Phillip ??. Ohhh yea and Phillip you should take the wife, we actually want car drivers to notice us LOL..... If that works Id do it.... Happy Belated Birthday John , I pray also that you have many many more, can't wait for summer now, to ride with you guys again.
