I think just REQUIRING driver's ed, or increasing the TEST cost to around $1000, and you can bet that it will be taken seriously!

Bluefront, There are crazy nuts in this world that steal cars and drive erratically and don't know a child is in the back seat. Cops stopped this guy in St Louis, but the child did not survive. He got caught in the seatbelt and drug miles on pavement. These type of things occure daily. There was that one guy driving a semi truck over 100 mph down the highway and had cops scrambling to warn traffic ahead of him. These things occure daily. Being alert and observing traffic is smart. But too, taking alternative routes is smart, but a person can go 80 mph in a school zone too and nothing will stop him neither from hitting someone. Just a bunch of nuts out there..

Maybe an IQ test should be required before a driver's license is issued.......I think that would eliminate most of the insanity, including that moron in the video. People seem to think driving is a right, rather than a privilege. Parrot's ok......she and I have survived the tornado season so far.

That is not to bad, waiting until a person graduates high school. I agree with this.. I mean, you hear of numberous high school students killed every year and this would lower the statistics. At 18 years of age, is when most young men sign up for the military. They need to know how to drive by this age. So make this one stipulation.. Must sign up for military. Now maybe, age 16 to 21 otherwise, could operate a 50cc scooter.. Atleast they will not kill anyone. LOL
